2500K Load Line Callibration

If you have only done one fresh OS install so far then I would suggest starting again, totally CMOS cleared fresh, while using OB graphics only.

The first thing when you are online to do is download a trusted anti virus (Avast, I use) and an ad block add on for your browser of choice.

I don't know your own computer safety regime, but it is an important step towards being confident that nothing malicious is messing with you.

Then make sure you go to each manufactures web site and snatch the most recent, relevant drivers for your hardware.

Install a game that will put some direct x in place and test the game in low settings and start moving the settings up till you feel it is around the same amount of load (relatively, if you know what I mean)

Any ideas as to why the GPU usage is spiking like that for no reason?

Could be a lot of things mate. Download and Load up GPUZ and check the sensors for what the card is doing while it is doing it. Is the card speed going up and down like it is throttling?

Have a play with that before doing your fresh install.

A fresh install as in wipe the drive and start again? I run Avast too and AdBlocker+ for chrome. I've downloaded the Latest CCC from HIS which I believe came with the drivers for the card.

I've got a spare Z68 motherboard I think I'll try Z68XP UD3 as opposed to the UD4 I'm on now...

Yes, a full fresh start. From the absolute beginning, after a cmos clear, using a minimum amount of hardware. Get the thing running stable with the least amount of stuff possible. No GPU, single storage drive etc. Then do the drivers etc and see if you are getting stuttering with the OB graphics.

If I was getting stuttering I would know 100% that it is absolutely nothing to do with the cards nor their drivers etc.

If not getting stuttering, then I would plop the GPU in, and move on with testing/solving.

I get the same issue with the same chip and using a 780gtx, Im currently running @ 4ghz and there is still some stutter on BF4. I never got this stutter on my old 6950 and running stock speed or at 4ghz. It's a very slight stutter but it's there and annoying.

I might try it running stock and see if it's the same.
