no need for 250gig not with the pricing of Games on demand.
You can install games to the drive, yes. I think they'll vary in size but IIRC Gears 2 was about 8Gb.It's almost a certainty that I'll be buying a 360 in the next few months (need to start work and get paid first),is there a need for a 250gb HDD if I'm not going to be downloading movies and by the sounds of it not using 'Games on Demand' due to outrageous pricing. Can you install your games on the drive? does that remove the need to use the disks, or does it speed up loading times? Also how much space does the average game take up?
Sorry if that's a little off topic, I think it's relevant though.

You still have to have the disk in the drive to play the games but they don't spin up, just used to verify you have the game.
Personally, I didn't notice any difference in loading times but I only did it with Gears and CivRev.
I have the 120gb elite 360 and ive still got over 100gb free on it...i got a few demos on it but got plenty of space left...mind you the MW2 360 looks tempting though.
lol. I was joking. I was making it seem like a 360 now comes bundled with MW2.
At least I thought it was funny. :/
anyone think its kinda lame how Sony and MS keep pushing different HDD sized consoles like its a big thing? While I am sitting here with 2.5tb of HDD space on my pc that cost me a total of £200.

Done and done.
Good bye 20 GB, no HDMI, red ringing POS.
Hello 250 GB, HDMI, modern warfare 2 beauty.
I picked up a 120GB HD for only £72 in the summer brand new which is not too bad at all.
That MW2 360 looks hideous
Or you could get a wd 120gb for £20. Which is more than enough for a console to me.
