LOL I love this guy, video reviews are great for cases... but the gfx card review isn't terribly informative in ways that count. I really wish they'd recorded the noise from inside a case at least.

Gift.
/off topic "Rayyyyyydeon" remember thats how to prounounce it! keep the video going after the review to see all the **** up's he makes! lol :)

/backontopic Has any of you tried e-mailing ATI requesting their latest set of beta drivers? Worth a shot. . . might get something even newer than whats floating about.

Well this is utter crap, installed the new psu, was playing ranbow 6 vegas and the systems still just shutting down after a few minutes play.

I don't understand this at all, wozzers running the same psu, has 2 x1950's which at load take up 250 watts compard to 215 or 220 for this, has 2 raptors, watercooling pump, overclocked core 2 etc and no problems.

All ive got installed is 2 sata drives, a dvd rom and the graphics card. :(

This really makes no sense at all, im just wondering if possibly the hsf hasn't got a good contact on the graphics chip. :(

Try removing it to see if there's good contact.

Then clean it off and reseat with some quality compound - AS5 or Ceramique.

Hope you sort it Gerard - sorry you're having trouble mate! :(

I know that but it doesn't stop hundreds of enthusiasts from reseating their cards with better compound and then successfully returning their cards for warranty purposes due to failure months later.

Seen it recommended in the past - EVGA have the right idea as there warranties generally covers changes of heatsinks etc. ;)

According to the amd gpu tool its not exceeding 79c when it shuts down, had it set to save it to a txt file:

15:02:03, ASIC Temperature via LM64 on DDC3 I2C [0] (C) = 77.875, LM64 local temperature on DDC3 I2C [0] (C) = 69.000, MCLK(MHz)[0] = 828.00, SCLK(MHz)[0] = 742.50

This is really a head scratcher, i dont see how the psu is failing to power my system properly.

Cpu's normally loading in the early 60's, considering the shutle case thats to be expected i suppose.
What clocks are you at?

Yeah, low 60's should be ok. No 'thermal shut off's' on Shuttles are there?

My old opty 165 ran close to 60 24/7 and was fine.
