I aint posting any until the cards final drivers come out next week. Im not posting benchmarks of a card on pre alpha drivers for people to then compare to GTS/GTX cards with final drivers. :p
The benchies are that bad huh

Meh, so far I have gotten this on 8.36 drivers.

Spec see sig.

3DMARK06: 7855 (guess my CPU is bottlenecking as it's not OC'ed).

Company of heroes (1280X1024, 16X AF/6X AA, max settings):
-min 55.1 fps
-max 245 fps
-avg 103.5 fps

FEAR (1280X1024, 16AF/6X AA, max settings):
-min 30 fps
-max 178 fps
-avg 81 fps

CSS (same as above):
Avg: 151.93 fps

Call of Juarez demo (same as above):
-min 24
-max 88
-avg 60.2

and just a little screen of a shrubbery:

This sold the game for me, tomorrow i'm picking this up.

Oblivion (same as above, no mods):
-min 23
-max 116
-avg 63.522

I bet this card performs very well on bigger monitors but even on a 19" it completely destroyed everything I threw at it.
Just had a go with Arma and it handled everything at max. with a lowly steady 80fps :D

Now all I need is a fix for the fan and i'm all set :p

Is that call of juarez dx10 or dx9? im guessing dx9

hey mate them scores are probably better than most benchmarks i seen... Good going. All i need to do now is flog my 8800 in sig and get me one. Well done btw. :D

sorry if this is a daft post, my Sapphire HD2900XT just arrived this morning (i'm at work atm so cant install it). But is there any specific drivers i should be using ( i can get them whilst at work) or should i just use the ones off the disk.

Also i'm assuming that as my 600W enermax PSU has 2 x 6 pin PCIe connectors, im ok to use both of these ?

Thanks in advance and ill update this post with some benchies rather than add to the thread (later when home)

I must say the Call of Juarez demo looks very impressive and I am looking forward to trying this on my rig sometime this week.

I tried Call of Juarez Demo on my rig in sig just now. 1920x1200 native on my dell however, I used the "best quality" preset which has everything full but shadows medium as I noticed (you can set shadows high). Everything else is full I think.

I could play to be honest, but some more fps would make it perfect. It was averaging ~30 so it was playable in RAY's demo.

Nevertheless, in BILLY's demo it was avergaing ~20 because of the dense vegetation I guess, and it wasn't so exiting to play.

ps: Anyone with a 24" and a 2900 to show some benchmarks how this card does on high res? Please..

HD2900XT owner question goes out to tom since he still has a Hiper Type R 580W PSU!

How have you managed to connect the card up to it? Was just curious as it obviously only has two PCI-E Lanes and I can only assume you cant overclock it at this present moment due to this. Have you found a work around?

Noise doesnt sound too good tho :( lol

I know that synthetic benchmarks mean naff all, but that's very impressive. I found a similar system (3.2ghz e6400) with a stock gtx, that scored 11,056. Lets just hope that driver updates can take this performance outside of 3dmark...

Well my aging X1900XT Xfire setup scores more than that in 3DMark06 - so this new card doesn't seem like a huge leap forwards.

Yeah, Xfire uses lots of power, you need a motherboard for it blah blah blah.. this card isn't exactly power-conscious either is it?

Decent for a single card solution though I guess.

Yeah, but you do have a 4.3ghz C2D, while his 'only' runs at 3.4ghz, so the scores on your setup may be higher due to that. But 1 card beating 2 cards isn't bad (especially as Xfire scales much better in 3dmark than in real games).

And you have a CPU clocked around 1Ghz more than mine, makes sense don't you think.

This is my Crossfire score from when i had X-Fire 1900's, same specs
