Hi Overclockers, I placed a order... It got processed any all. And as i went to close the window my "Natwest" password confirmation thing popped up.. and then i closed it (really bad timing!! ARGH)

I think based on this I missed it, can you confirm or would my order still be placed???
 
Ridiculous, got it in basket fine but spent 15 minutes trying to refresh page due to white screen of death with php, then entered securecode and bang...

Hahaha, what's with all the hate? It was a special offer which 50 people received and if you didn't you missed out simple as. You were just unlucky is all.

I didn't get one either :p But it was a promo (like a competition), no one complains this much when they lose the lottery do they?

DAMN! did the site crash or what i had a promo drive in my basket them "page connot be displayed" then basket empty??? wtf!!

I have no ideas if I got one, I got it in my basket, got to the POS part, got my banks security screen up, put in the password and then the page was blank wit Done at the bottom. refreshed a few times, backed up and then was told I could not order another one as I already one. I just hope that means I have got one. I even took a screenshot to prove I should have got one as I couldn't order another one. Who do I ask to find out or do I just wait in hope. :-(

Hehe I saw this one coming a mile off, I'm not at all surprised that OcUK are going to get a roasting now ...I think you'll find people complaining because it all comes down to pot luck, getting your page request through first and nothing going wrong throughout every page request you need to make to complete the order, it's the internet equivalent of one of Ikea's sales, where people get trampled underfoot, only a little more civilised since none gets hurt.

If the webservers would hold under the strain and work flawlessly, then it would simply come down to who gets through the whole shebang first. If you go through the process and it sells out, ok, bad luck, try again next time, if you get it in your basket but you can't get it because the damn payment page wont load and you're just sat there looking at a series of white screens, it's a bit more annoying really.

Damnit!! Were 48 when i clicked 'Buy' then kept getting blank pages whilst trying to checkout. Now got the out of stock message. Hamsters should have been fed some steroids!!

Some of the more loyal members which have more than "1" post might have deserved a little more than to be out done by people who just came to cash in on a bargain - its not very rewarding to loyal members it....

I think it's the uncertainty that a lot of people have got a beef with. If you're not quick enough, fair enough, but if the website's giving some people randomly better access than others who turn up much later, then some orders fail at a different stage, that's when people get annoyed...

Totally agree. Really would have been better all round to make it a lottery via the forum.. I pressed refresh every 3 seconds from 13:28 to 13:31 when the site stopped responding, about 13:30:20 the site said due athen then next refresh said all gone !

All OCUK have done is sold the drive to 50 happy customers and Peev'd off about 500+ more !
