3.6GHZ + C2D clockers please

3.6 prime stable. 1.37 volts underload , i kno the chip will do 3.9 - 4ghz, but need to get my watercooling first :)
with those temps you could probably get 4GHz anyway, i got water and get only a couple c lower than that at 3.6GHz, temps rise by 5c at 4ghz

but still that is water, it wont rise 5C on air from 3.6 to 4ghz. temps fluctuate less on water as you prob know.

orthos'd at 3.68ghz will try higher maybe at weekend if i get the time, such a tedious way to proove stability. did this overnight and had to screeny in my rush to get ready for work so forgot cpuz n shiz but eh well:

Kinda right I guess, cause if you own a QX6800, then 3.6 isn't exactly a good sized overclock :) However if you manage 3.4 on a e6300 then I'm impressed :P

It aint no 3.6ghz but then again if i still had my e6400 it would have been a doddle....but i think this qualifies as a non puny oc lol.

Agreed, this thread is pointless and doesn't make sense. "Who's got 3.6" is a nominal figure without specifying a specific CPU. I would have thought easy, who is so specific about what others are allowed to post, would have clamped down on this .

3.6 Ghz with any C2D is a nice clock and it starts getting tricky at this speed.

3.4ghz with any C2D is pretty straight forward TBH.

I have tried most of the C2D range and have gotten 3.4ghz with all of them within half an hour of testing.

3.6ghz + is harder to get stable 24/7 hence why I started this thread.

So your saying my above post is pretty straight forward (495fsb )....if so i welcome some prime screenies on AIR!.:D...if i had a chip with a higher multi i would say it the other way around....ESPECIALLY if your on water!.

the thread seems to make out its like an elite club, as its pretty much not i have a e6420 on 3.4ghz and wont get past that, i have tried putting the voltage up to 1.58vcore, and it wont even do 10 mins TAT stable, its under water as well.

i have no clue as what to do next, change RAM core wouldnt make a difference i imagine, its on 2.1 at the moment.

and yes im jealous :<, i want my e6550

Nice thread, some big clockers out there

I'm only 3.5 atm, though it is a quad & 83c under heavy load :D & the radiator keeps my feet warm :p Does it count if had a Northwood at 3.9 - 3 years ago :p

Wish I could run Orthos as everyone else though I cant get it to use all cores, so I test with Prime v2.53.

My glorious E6400, Same CPU i used in custom PC Feature "Cool Master Stacker Build". Was stable at 4.1Ghz phase :D

Temps are a tad high.
Very high for water mate

My 6400 was 4.3ghz stable and more with phase but mobo ran out of FSB
