3 Games you "HATE" that most ppl like..

COD - Because it's crap, ever since modern warfare 2 (why ppl buy it is beyond me)
WoW - First mmo ever remember ;)
Eldar Scrolls - Just not for me thats all

'Hate' is too strong but I never got the fuss about HL2 when it came out. Just another FPS.

Oh, and the Gran Turismo series. 'Ultimate Driving Simulator', where all cars sound like hairdriers and nigh-on terminal understeer is the only handling characteristic that the programmers could dial in. But again, 'hate' isn't really the word. More like 'mild exasperation'.

Heh, I would bet my student loan (what's left of it) on the majority of people in this thread saying WoW having never played it for any decent amount of time, or even to max level (you know, where all the content is). Its like saying you hate a car you've never driven because the seat is uncomfortable. I can understand hating what it stands for, complete market dominance due to time investment of players squashing any possible innovation in the MMO genre though, in which case I would agree.

Or alternatively we looked at it and thought hmm a real bad generator for character creation, poor quest writing, dislike Theme Park MMOs, dislike the combat mechanics, dislike the artstyle fullstop, etc and a realisation that if you feel like that then grinding through a load of inane stuff to get to the content is actually pretty poor game design.

So for me:

1) WOW - I didn't need to play it for a long time to know, for me, it sucked.
2) Portal
3) Halflife - but I am not a FPS fan.

I'd add GTA5 in there too but I thought it was an ok game just the amount of swearing really put me off - I don't mind some but it way too much to be tolerable.

and here's my other two

Prince of Persia (2008)
resident evil 4 ( might have been better on console )

Skyrim, the combat just felt rubbish to me. Really oldschool with no feeling

ME - just couldn't get into it. Felt detached

Dragon age - who enjoys that micromanagement?

Dota number 1 for me i would enjoy the game if i didn't have to put so many hours into learn how to last hit and farm.

I wouldn't say i hate them but i find cs games really boring too much camping and waiting around for stuff to happen a lot of the time

And most rts cause i really suck at them

3 of my favourite games keep getting mentioned :(.

Can't think of a game I hated really. I got really sick of playing Deadlight, but I heard it was an easy game to get 100% achievements on so I played it to the end. Only to find out they added another achievement especially for the PC version that would mean having to play the whole game in one go without dying. Actually.. I hate Deadlight!

Dont Hate but think are pretty crap..

BF3/4 its such great potential but fails in execution often.
Stalker - that game is a boring joke i bought it on steam for 49p and feel robbed.
FF7/8/9/1265745 - Crappy Japanese paedo games for the mentally challenged.

oh god and lfd2

Skyrim and all GTA's since 2, and here's why:

Skyrim - it's offline warcraft, where's the fun in that?
GTA - I spent hours playing LAN games on GTA 1 & 2, the top down view is what made the game unique, removing that element for me killed it.

To the guy that mentioned Half Life, you are so wrong, HL is the best FPS ever made, which exceptions made for Quake, Unreal and Doom

Not a fan of the CoD and BF games. Despite the extra power and improvements in tech, gameplay is basic, clunky and slow compared to what we were playing in the 90s.
