30xx Series Founders Edition

Managed to snag a 3070 on the last drop - Nvidia says the minimum recommend PSU is 650w; I've got a 550w Seasonic Focus Plus am I cutting it too fine?

You might be OK, they have to have a margin for low-qual PSUs (edit: and high-power CPUs). Overclocking uses more power faster than linear though if you're looking to do that. case of suck it and see.

Do any of you use Geforce now? I signed up planning to use it for Cyberpunk but even though I have 150 Mb FTTP (and get close to that in speed tests) when I do a network test it only manages 35 mb and says not recommended. Also get low pings. Any ideas?

haven't tried yet. wonder what the infrastructure is like here, doesn't sound good from your end. low pings is good though (lower is better).

That will be absolutely fine. Gamers Nexus review showed 350W whole-system draw with an overclocked 3070 and high spec CPU.

I'm running mine on a 520W Corsair HX.

My 1650 Super is running overclocked on a 300W SFX PSU.

I personally believe that PSU requirements are vastly overstated, albeit for understandable reasons.

Nice, mine still not progressed beyond awaiting picking sadly.

Same here with a 3090 order, not overly concerned but we see if it picks and ships Monday. I also bagged a 5950X there a few days before also at RRP so pricing seems on point for them vs others!

Congrats to the people that bagged a card in the last drop. My 3080 FE has been amazing, pretty sure that if I hadn't got so lucky I'd still be waiting for the Asus Tuf.

That is a nice and tight fit with space for a 3 slot card? What case is that?

It's the Lian-Li PC-TU150, the space is very good for Mini ITX, though with a wider card the bottom fans wouldn't fit and they help a lot with the GPU cooling. I went for slim fans as that was all I could fit with my previous 2070S, now I'm very tempted to swap out to standard size. I'm still not sure which of the Noctua fans I should actually be running, front and rear are NF-S12s, but should I really have NF-F12 due to the heatsink being so close and dust filters?

Yeah I thought it would work fine with my connection, though I guess it could be a router setting or something that needs adjusting. Anyway I don't need it now I've managed to get a new card.
