30xx Series Founders Edition

Not necessarily.

Wait a minute or two and refresh again, button can come back, I know because its how I got mine. I am also not the only one getting it that way, others have reported the same.

Correct. That's how I got both a 3070FE and 3080FE.

3080FE was even 5min of refreshing since the Telegram alert and got the basket show up.

Finally managed to grab a 3080, based on the number of people both on here and on the discord that have managed to get one it seems this has been the biggest drop so far, good thing to as its been over a month since the last one.

Mines due to be delivered tomorrow. After the initial and ongoing disappointment of not getting one i got over it and wasnt really bothered (bought a new bike and been smashing that). I'll admit though im looking forward to getting it

I think now that they have disabled paypal payments and have the stricter checks in place it will be a matter of time before it gets easier to get hold of an FE card, assuming they keep dropping them at steady rate.

I wonder if the restrictions apply to the RTX 3090? These things are extortionate anyway and take much longer to sell, do Nvidia and the FE seller care if people pay a premium twice?

I also think the 1 per household restrictions exist, because they would much prefer it if buyers got an aib/third party GPU...

I honestly think its probably much cheaper to buy most aib graphics cards from the US right now, there's websites that are quite happy to ship to then UK (with VAT + duty estimate) with offers sometimes.

Either that, or you'd have to buy a prebuild with included GPU.

You mentioned a RTX 3060 TI going for auction at £1,400, surely the RTX 3090 FE for a similar price would be better (but still a rip off). They tend to be available for a while too, due to the price.

Was not me that mentioned it, but yes you would think instead of spending £1400 on a 3060ti your better off buying a 3070 or even a 3080 at a marked up price.

Where from? NVIDIA direct?

Not sure I can say where, sounds like a Scam though. :p

Only retailer that get them in the UK as far as I know. Luckily I was on Discord at the time for the alert, so in basket and bought in less then a minute. I didn't even login and used guest checkout, it's faster.

Card arrived this morning, the crazy thing is I can probably sell my 2080Ti for more than £649 now.

You might as well cash in while you can! Unless you need the card as a back up.

The 3090s do not actually remain long these days either, they sell out within a minutes on last few drops. Not like last year where they could remain on for hours. So no the 3090FE is no longer easily available either sadly.

They do. I bagged 3060Ti for my little brother on release day and since that time I'm not able to buy 3090FE for myself anymore. They check not only account details but also household address and payment method, so even if name is different they reject such purchase instantly if any other thing match.

Probably mostly miners buying them up, in theory buyers can make the money back quite quickly with these GPUs

I think at this stage its anyone and everyone, not just miners. you can see plenty of comments on Discord of people saying they gave up waiting for lesser GPUs to come into stock / obtainable, so grabbed whatever they could, which means even the 3090FE goes out in minutes. Combine that with the fact that lesser GPUs are getting scalped to near and above 3090FE price and whole market is upside down anyways.
