30xx Series Founders Edition

What alert methods are people using? I'm on a discord channel and twice have been on the site within 1 minute and the 3080's are sold out already.

I can't realistically be any quicker than this, I don't work at a computer so do it from my phone so I can only assume the channel I have alerts set for is slower than others.

You have to keep refreshing as they tend to release then in batches.

I notice that nothing is indicating that this is a LHR card, I was under the impression that it was only LHR cards being sold by Nvidia now?
I checked the Nvidia 3080 web site which states 'Note: GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards with LHR (lite hash rate) ship May 2021. Check manufacturer listing for LHR products. GeForce RTX 3080 GPUs with LHR deliver 43 MH/s ETH hash rate (est.).' so it looks like the FE is LHR limited (will have to see what the box says). If it is this may go some way to explain how I wasn't out clicked on the buy now button. As is life, i suspect LHR may be late to the party given the direction of travel in crypto-coin pricing.

I read a post on HotUKDeals, someone posted the links there, but 3060ti and 3080 already gone (have price but no add to cart button then soon OOS) when I clicked the links, 3090 was the only one instock at that time.

By all means, it's been futile for me too using both Twitter and Discord notifications. Someone suggested using Telegram, and bingo yesterday's drop came in and the buy it now was just there. This was all on my phone too / checked out as a guest. (ensure no VPN is on else you will be greeted with cloudflare/capture)

The other thing to try, is refreshing the page too when it drops. Whilst the stock maybe in peoples baskets, it does not mean post validations of the retailers TOC purchase's may be voided and returned to the open market for someone else.

Maybe something you can try too, and I wish you luck as quite frankly it's been pretty frustrating.

Interestingly I don't have a VPN but I do get captcha every time I've tried, maybe I'll try a different browser. I use opera with adblocks so maybe it's doing some odd

Do you have a link to the telegram you used?

Are you using mobile internet, I think WiFi is required for a fixed IP. PS I think opera comes with a free VPN?

The telegram link to partsalert is: https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEii3xT81U1A6tLjrQ

Thanks, it is on mobile internet. Just checked now at home on WiFi and on opera or Chrome I still get cloudflare when accessing the site

You just have to pre log in and get ready mobile internet doesn't matter, link won't work anymore if it links to the retailer site that drop is over , each drop gets unique url on the time when drop happens

Retail slaves are not allowed to browse the net or purchase things during their work hours or they commit gross misconduct.

No-one should be browsing the net when they're supposed to be working. Anyone who is should consider themselves fortunate to be in a job where they're permitted to steal time from their employer.

I am permitted to steal from my employer in that case ;p, but we've got a pretty progressive workplace that encourages taking time out to do the stuff you need to do during the day (like buying GPUs ;p). Whether you have the options to do that (i.e. if you have to be 'online' or 'available' at specific times) depends on the nature of your work though, I guess.

My order still showing as awaiting picking though =|
