Ok so got my 3080 TI FE stable at 1900mhz at 925mv. Ran Timespy a few times and with fans at 50% temp didnt go above 80 degrees.

Does that sound about right?

Sounds good if its stable

It ran through the full benchmark twice. If I set it to any lower mv then it crashed after a few seconds on few different runs.

Ta bud. Will get one of them installed and check again. Is there a high figure I should be concerned about? I dont mine and just game. Even then nothing too intense as I play at 1440p.

Basically so long as the VRAM is under 110c, you're okay. Otherwise it'll throttle and you'll see performance drastically reduced.

Ok thanks mate. I guess with it only having the vram on the front of the card it should be ok, Might just up the fan speed to 60% just to be sure.

Why are people so readily changing thermal pads on the 3080? Does it not void the warranty? I've never done it before but I'd be nervous tinkering with something that valuable.

Ok so ran the Timespy extreme stress test which it passed but checking temp logs VRAM hit 110 max and the gpu hit 90 max but didnt go over either. That was with fan at 60% constantly. It passed the test but at 97.5%.

Would think standard gaming would be ok though and will play some stuff later today and then check temps again.

Finally get to install mine today. I'll see how the temps go. I just found out in another thread I may see temps rise as I have 2 x 140mm intake fans and 1 x 120mm exhaust fan in my Meshify C.

They are all miners pretending to be gamers buying all these cards. Hence the limit 1 per customer and LHR, so at least , gamers are getting the cards they need , so we'll done Nvidia and supplier here!
