30xx Series Founders Edition

I hope they get one. Are you monitoring FE drops? I have managed to get three RTX 3000 series cards so far, it wasn't really difficult, but it was nervy.

I'll just add that my search is over now I have what I need. I've left the Discord servers and Telegram groups.
I haven't been since I got my 3080fe by telegram, unfortunately I don't really have anyone who I can use as an alternative address.
They can wait a while still, there isn't anything that won't run on their laptops yet.
I am in keeping an eye out but not actively looking mode at the moment.

Maybe just get them AIB versions like the 3060ti's OCUK had deals on recently which wasn't much over msrp.

The OCUK 3060 Ti deals have been pretty good to be fair. Factor in the time, faff and stress you would save compared to monitoring drops and it's well worth it.

My 3080ti FE arrived on saturday, so far so good, definately not going to need the radiators on in the winter ;) definately considering a custom loop now

Hah, I originally planned to run full aircooling but switched to waterloop for the 3080. An easier decision since I already had most of the kit from previous system and a good deal on the GPU block appeared online :p

You could perhaps get one an FE card, and the other an AIB card from OCUK. It's an unusal situation in the GPU market, as per the 1 per household rules that helps every gamer get a card. Hope you get them something nice.
Trouble is its not helping every gamer if multiple gamers live in the same house hold.

But, the restrictions certainly helped me...

The RTX2060 is 2019! :p I think I saw a number under £700,but might have been NOS?? The RTX3050TI seems a bit gimped,ie,4GB VRAM.

You cant even tell what you are getting with laptops because half of them now use MAX-Q GPU`s and often even have different wattage MAX-Q versions.

I bought a gaming laptop advertised as 1650 Ti and it turned out it had the weakest wattage version of a MAX-Q 1650 Ti that was like half the wattage of a non MAX Q 1650 Ti.

Never been a laptop guy but you have to check the wattage as your right the marketing misleads you if your not careful. I pointed my nephew to a 3060 one for his studies this year he rang and said its awesome, I guess you get used to it!

True,but when the best sub £300 GPU currently available is a GTX1650 4GB GDDR6,I would imagine even a low wattage GTX1660/RTX2060 would be a better choice(more VRAM,shaders,etc).

Even in the last month or so,there have been GTX1650 based laptops around the £500 mark, with a Ryzen 5 4600H,120hz screen, etc. Its not ideal, but its probably still cheaper than an entry level PC gaming build.

The laptop RTX3060 has more shaders than the desktop one!

What to do - its like fighting a loosing battle. People just have accepted it all now. You can't criticise any tech company and in the end you become the enemy. Even remember,Gamersnexus,Hardware Unboxed,AdoredTV Jim(I asked him),etc all getting it from both sides(AMD or Intel/Nvidia). So many are more worried about the "corporate side" of things, and not the consumer side. In the end if people want to know why companies can try all this crap, its because as consumers we allow it to happen.

The worst thing is the people I know who work in the tech industry don't even have this line....you would think they would as they make their living from it. If anything they are more cynical they I am!

Is it just me or are the FE cards quite loud. Not the fans, they seem quite quiet but the GPU itself makes a different noise when under load as soon as you start gaming.
I had an msi 980 ti gaming 6g before and i dont remember it being noisy at all really
