So if you're using the Imgur app there is a trick. You see the image with the share link, the share link gives you that URL without a jpg extension. If you click the image again, there is another share link and that gives you a link to the actual jpg.

Then you can use the image button in the comment editor on this forum to embed the pic into the post.

Your first link works, but embed it so it's easier for the person reading the thread.

It looks much worse in person, as the flaking continues down the side of each fin. Not just the leading edge where the finish is bubbling and flaking off.

The top fins have it starting in spots all over, on most of the cooling fins, yet the rest of the card underneath is immaculate.

It is exactly like when bare aluminium castings are subject to a heavy winter with a good salt covering.

The aluminium goes almost fluffy with white soft oxidised powder that can be scratched off easily.

Yeah. Poor QC. Gutted for you mate.

Starting to realise a 3080Ti in a SFF case may not work out :D

Are you suffering any gpu sag?

The cooling on founders is better than AIB for small cases because it has both an exhaust fan and a pass through fan.

The 30 series founders is possibly the best cooling solution they have ever made on a founders edition card.

It would be worse if it was an AIB card.

AIB work better in big cases where they don't need to exhaust because plenty of open space and case fans for airflow.

Thanks for the info, very useful.
Doesn't look like it's sagging, just seems to produce a tonne of heat and after a little while started to get louder.
This is with the side panel off my case.

I think I need additional fans in the case (CM Q300L case).

I have 2 fans in the front, pulling in cool air and only two fans in push/pull either side of my H80i at the rear. I think I need fans at the top to actively draw warm air out of the case as well.

The 3080’s and up do produce a lot of heat.

I have a very large case, with 5 inlet 140mm fans, 1 exhaust 140mm on the back and 6 120mm acting as push pull exhaust on the AIO on the top. And I can easily heat a reasonably sized bedroom up to the point you don’t need to put the central heating on on a cold winters day.

Add some fans to the top to pull the hot air out. Or move the H80i to the top fan slot and replace with an exhaust fan which will work better at removing the excess heat from the gpu. Probably get better cpu temps without all the hot air passing through the H80i too.

As said they run hot it's the VRAM in them runs at 100c.

You can try undervolting I made a thread on it. It has a video in it first post you should watch.

But definitely get 2 fans to exhaust at the top and put the side panel back on.

Unfortunately the stock fans are loud. Undervolting and stock fan curve will help.

Thanks, will definitely find that video, appreciate the information.

I'm toying with the idea of going down the iTX case route, I have everything but the case as I'm still in mATX.
What case are you planning on using, and are you going down the water/AIO route, what about an undervolt?

I'm already using an mATX setup.
Case is CoolerMaster Q300L.
Definitely considering undervolting.

Yeh I use am AIO for my CPU (H80i v2) but will stay air cooled for everything else.

Mine was hitting 104 before I swapped the pads, I get min to high 80's now, I'm only mid 90's while mining 70%/-500/+1100..

thats good! I'm not ready for a pad change. I'm not mining anyway so I think everything at least is working as expected. PR stress test is pretty hard, not seen more than 94 while gaming.

Whats the return on eth at the moment ? £6 a day?
