30xx Series Founders Edition

I think its got worse over past couple months again. There was a gradual taper down in price and steady stream of AIB stock floating in. Unless these retailers are hoarding stock for christmas bonanza! £££££££

I would not be paying these prices even more so when this gen is into over 1 year of its life , find another hobby and go for FE drop ,

Maybe Nvidia have read this forum full of people talking about selling it to CEX and mining on their cards and decided the UK isnt the place to sell to get in the hands of gamers?

NVidia have proven they couldn't give two, or more, ***** about who buys them as long as they make bank..

I have been waiting since 3080 cards first came out, its been absolutely ridiculous.

You cant be trying hard at all, I got my 3060Ti in December when they first came out.
Then when I sold that card to a mate he got me a 3080 first attempt, and to say he's really not technically gifted would be a huge understatement..

Getting a card on an fe drop is like winning the lottery

Really isn't you just need to have the right alerts set I recommend doing it all on mobile and completing payment or if front of computer could do it that way can install telegram for Windows, I even set unique ringtone just for that so I know it's that

Just be alert around 9-12pm but of course it depends if working gets in the way.

You been doing it wrong unless work gets in the way , I got the 3080 friend also got 3070

Ocuk have a pretty large stock of gpu's problem is they are all ridiculously priced

Nvidia screwed a lot of people with the insanely low MSRP on the FE cards, AIB's stood no chance, as for e-tailers like OCUK and everyone else, they have to buy from distributors and I'm sure prices are up across the board..

Yeah although they have some markup, cant really call them out when I compare to other retailers.

Best option is hoping Gibbo does another members batch and pick them up (AIB flavours) if you cant snag an FE.

That's nonsense, after witnessing the 'bot feeding frenzy last September/October they teamed up with a local retailer in each region to ensure the cards are sold in the fairest manner possible. They're the only company I can think of that is putting that level of effort into how the product is being distributed for sale.

Yeah them selling $175million's worth of ampere cards directly to miners before they then started pushing LHR cards out slip your mind?

What are you talking about. They initially sold the cards from their own website via Digital River and the site ground to a halt every time as 'bots scooped them all up in seconds in order to scalp them on eBay. NV then outsourced to an OcUK rival as their sole retailer in the UK with the strict instructions to sell at MRSP. One card per customer etc.

What do you expect them to do, request your home address and have Jensen turn up in a French maid outfit? The fact a LHR version even exists tells you all you need to know.

Careful, I have only seen miners using AIB cards, never seen a pic of a mining rack using FE.

Its the AIBs doing it.

Have any AIB retailers imposed the restrictions that the official FE retailers have done? Granted its not working 100%, its still better than nothing. Also how many AIB partners have enforced MSRP pricing at the retail level?

They go so very quick, no data plan on mobile and not on a mobile contract, seems like you gotta hit magic minute, was working on a build when they were first released and before I settled everything went to hell.

The near x2 markup on basically different cooling method isnt helping things either.

There is literally a full topic of people replacing thermal pads on the FE cards, the only reason you need to do that is for mining.

EU just recently got 3080 drop after while so UK will likely be next would be surprised if it doesn't also not sure what's Brexit got to do with it as they have been dropping through it, it's AMD that it effected no direct drops from AMD :(
If they ship to the EU it is one lot of paperwork, one lot of imprt charges, one lot of everything.
If they ship to the UK (I imagine they arrive in the EU first) it is even more paperwork for them to complete. So Brexit will have an impact.

Not true, there are also images of people that had cards that were thermal throttling and then when they stripped the cards down they found misplaced thermal pads, pads with the plastic protective sheets on and do forth..
