30xx Series Founders Edition

I did indeed mate haha - I wanted to get the 3090 Ti a few weeks ago but due to personal reasons I wasn't in the mindset or position to be looking at my pc but my mate has sold me the 3090 for £650 with warranty remaining ive sold my 3080 for £550 to my brother and ive left him to flog his 2080 Ti.. I remember going from 1080 Ti to Titan Xp there's definitely a bigger performance gap with 3080 and 3090 than there was 1080 Ti and Titan Xp (2017) the next 2 games I'm really looking forward too and I hope I can max out at 4k is silent hill 2 and resident evil 4! :)

Good deal. That is £75 more than I paid for my 3080 Ti. Well worth for the 12GB extra vram. Apparently there are many games where it will come in handy, not to mention an extra 1-2% sheer horse power :p

Yea man, i am looking forward to those games also :)

Aye it seems pretty good, but since installing this card my CPU temps have definitely increased a little as my fans are kicking in to audible levels (got custom profiles).

Is this normal for a more powerful card to influence the CPU? Or maybe just Cyberpunk coincidence.

Ahh, I just remembered that this has happened to me before and it is GeForce Experience software that causes this. I only recently installed it again with the new card and was wondering why my CPU was sitting at 45°C+ whilst just sitting there in Windows. I've uninstalled it and temperatures are back at a cool 33°C.

You had a 3080 previously didn't you? How do you find the Ti? Like I say it's not night and day difference even with the 3090 but the difference is definitely there and the vram will definitely come in handy! Yea there's nothing in it between the 3080 Ti and 3090 both cracking cards! You looking at 40 series ?

I did. Sold it to CEX for £1620 last year. Ended up grabbing a 3070 FE after for £480. Sold that for £400 and got a 3080 Ti for £575 :D

Hard for me to say how it compares, just did a few benchmarks and it was 10-15% difference to my 3080 results. I have zero interest in the 4000 series. Silly pricing. Unless prices come down A LOT, can’t see me buying one. Not that I need to at the moment anyway. More performance is always good, but the 3080 Ti is currently more than enough for me. That may change once Unreal Engine 5 games start hitting the shelves however. We will see :)

Just 2 games from me as didn't have any other dx 12 games with benchmarks (5600x and 3080 @ 3440x1440)

Were the Cyberpunk ones with RT enabled and RT set to Psycho and Lighting above it set to Psycho as well? I just reinstalled the game to test the benchmark with these drivers and got, all other settings on highest, this driver has upped the average more than before it seems.

Finally did the update to latest drivers. Went from 61.39 to 67.96 fps making it a 10.7% performance improvement. Very nice :)

Not that it matters, I just cap the game at 60fps anyway. Could try and move from Balanced to Quality DLSS perhaps, but will see what's what when the new expansion pack is out, going to uninstall it for now until then :D

The expansion is a paid DLC so likely be run outside of current game anyway since the engine is revamped and "next gen" - So probs best to uninstall the current game if it's complete :p

Wonder if you'll be able to link your character to the new game to carry over the talents/traits etc and skill points.

Wait... So the new RT "overdrive" mode is just for the new content/dlc? Bit **** that but got no issues buying the new content as love the game.

RT overdrive is an update to the current game yes, the new DLC expansion from all I've seen so far is a completely revamped engine and only coming to next gen, so they've clearly done away with the old engine and this will be a paid expansion.

Time to buy now then before price goes up further with release!

RT Overdrive is simply adding Global Illumination to the entire scene (crazy expensive) but its only next gen in the sense older consoles (PS4 gen) won't get it. Its not a new engine.

Interesting. Will defo preorder the expansion. But also look forward to trying out the next gen update for the base game. Probably have to drop to performance and get 30fps if lucky. Just to mess about and see the graphics.
