Can they do that? it just seems pointless selling cards on there, there's always people relisting them a couple of weeks after selling them

Yeap - if they pay via paypal they can request a refund 6 months later. They can even send back a different graphics card or item, as long as the weight is similar (assuming using a managed posting service which Ebay can view). If you refuse the refund, they get to keep the graphics card and get a refund.

Ebay will always refund the buyer no matter what, it's a huge issue. Also a big reason why many sell (at much lower prices) on the MM, to safe stress and risk from these cretins.

There are of course many genuine and nice buyers on Ebay, though understand there are definitely many that abuse the system.

Legit buyers won't do that lol. Also they've left pos feedback and auction is set to returns not accepted. All good my end.

Doesn't matter, they can still request/demand a refund from ebay/paypal for 6 months, no matter the reason. Positive feedback doesn't matter either - 6 months later they can change their mind. Ebay will always side with them.

There is also seller protection.
I’ve had a buyer of my iPhone that sold for £500 claim after two months they didn’t authorise the transaction and eBay investigated and decided in his favour in the end so refunded him but didn’t charge me at all for that.

Ebay always side with the buyer. Glad they didn't charge you back, though that's not very common. If you search using google, there are countless instances where buyers demand refunds after many months have gone by etc.

Not always, but as the seller you do have to be prepared in advance for it, and jump through a number of hoops to defend yourself. I certainly wouldn't sell anything of value in certain categories on there though

Been
Selling on eBay for 15 years never had anyone do that, as long as you take photos of your serial number your safe?

Plus once positive feedback is left there’s nothing they can do PayPal won’t do anything as it’s through eBay not PayPal
