30xx Series Founders Edition

My PC is running warm, I noticed the CPU hit 87-91C in HWiNFO64, so I thought to check out the 3080 FE temps in Satisfactory. The Max temps are showing as:

GPU Temp: 74.5C
GPU Mem Junction: 90C
GPU Hot Spot: 86.9C

Are these high? If so, any tips on lowering them?

That's normal, you can under volt to reduce temps without losing performance got mine at 70c dropping from 75c while slightly increasing performance compared over stock it's upto how you want to undervolt I prefer to do it without losing performance over stock, replacing thermal pads would lower vram temps but it's within spec so wouldn't bother

Your memory seems to be surprisingly cool given the high core temps (I don't typically see core temps above 65 but Memory for me can still be about 90 even with pads replaced (3090 FE though not 3080).

Thanks both (@uscool and @Addicted). I am currently undervolting with Afterburner. I am starting to wonder if it's an age thing or if I need to strip the PC down for a deep clean to get rid of dust and improve cooling.

i bought a mains powered air blower for that, take pc outside, tape fans down so they cant spin and kill anything then blast away

Well that's one way I suppose! It seems excessive to me, were you not concerned in case you damaged anything?
no cause the only thing that can cause damage is fans spinning up very fast, its only a handheld thing so i just get the nozzle in and aim for the dust, get a brush on the fans then give it another go around and its all fine for another 6 months :D

So my sealed 3080 Ti FE is currently sitting at 600 with 2 days left, 20 watchers. Wonder what it will end up going for!

My old 3080 Ti would regularly hover in the 79/80 degree mark in games, the 4090 hovers 10 degrees cooler in the same games with the same settings all whilst the GPU fans are spinning around 1300rpm max Vs the 1700rpm+ the 3080 Ti fans would spin at.

The wonders of efficiency advancement in Ada :p At the same fps when locked, the 4090 uses less power by quite a lot vs the 3080 Ti!

That's good, 3090s were going for sub £700 regularly on the MM although VRAM concerns seems to have pushed up their value a little.

What a 3090 should have cost all along given the difference between a 3080 and it most of the time, in some games, it's a 4% difference  4090 looks like a bloody incredible deal when you compare it to the 4080 and compared to a 3080 and 3090 lol
