30xx Series Founders Edition

No :p

The 3080/70 is a better proposition at their respective price points IMO.

sure you might get the XT going as fast in rasterisation but it’s missing a whack ton of features and is dog slow in RT. If both were in stock and available, I’d say the 6800 and XT were too expensive, not by a whole lot but enough to push me to an nvidia card.

AIB pricing is an utter minefield and I’m not going to touch that.

agree that the FE cards at £649 are a better proposition than the AMD cards but once you get to the AIB cards then the water gets a bit murkier. I am glad i got my FE3080

The RTX 3080 Ti is expected to be a 3090 with lower memory. Thats it.
It depends what NV have in the bag for this gen. A Titan must surely be due at some point and then maybe a gaming biased Ti will be based off of that, and a refreshed 3090 maybe too.
Time wise Id be suprised of anything this side of late first quarter 2021

FE is the one to have. Great GPU especially at <4k. I hoped for a bit more from RT this gen but at 1440P I'm finding it awesome so far with RT.

Ok? You can buy a waterblock for AMD cards too... This is a mute point.
What in particular are you finding awesome if you don’t mind me asking? :p
Build quality, no trashy gamer lights.

I find ray traced reflections great as ssr always looked to me like some graphical glitches when moving around in games. Disappearing reflections near edges of the screen or when looking down are very distracting.

There was so much hype around SAM and the improvements it gave and well that just didn’t bear fruit in most benchmarks I saw.

The 6800xt was meant to be level pegging with the 3080 with SAM off and give an up to 10 percent improvement with it on.

In reality it made very little difference and the worse RT performance was the using on the cake for me. The other nvidia features are the using on the cake and well worth the extra £50, not that you can actually buy either at the moment at that price.

I guess let’s wait and see on what AIB pricing is like. Before making any final I regret buying an FE calls.

I didn't just mean RT, as I also said I hoped for more but in the games with RT I've tried it's handling everything so far with ease at 1440P so overall an 'awesome' GPU :p
Looks great, fantastic build quality, extremely quiet (inc at idle fans turn off) & at 1440P has handled everything thrown at it so far. BFV, although not the best implementation of RT sits at my monitor refresh rate at max settings and the GPU not even maxed out. 80% improvement in a few games I checked.
Wolfenstein I thought something was up as it was only reaching max 40% utilisation at max settings but then realised my montor was only set to 60hz for some reason.
Might not be the case at 4K but it's a great GPU for 1440P. Not done much gaming until recently so maybe seems awesome to me as finding everything running beautiful and smooth, notable BFV, vs from what I remember, so maybe an element of something new - bit like driving a fast car that you havent driven in a long while, you appreciate how fast it is again (vs driving it daily)

Does anyone know if Nvidia plans to restock the FE cards sometime soon? Prices for the other 3070 models is significantly higher, and I wanted to "downgrade" to a compact card that still is decent for 1440p. It's a huge shame both Nvidia and AMD are unable to meet demand, especially as it's nearing Christmas.

they usually restock once a week. Have you looked on MM?

They restocked the 3070 and 3090 yesterday, 3070 went within 30 minutes, the 3090 were available for nearly 5 hours.

You missed it FE 3070 and FE 3090 were available yesterday. There was no issue with the website and if you knew at the time the purchases went through okay. You just have to be lucky and know when it happens.

I think someone mentioned the the company they're being shipped from sold too many last batch (3080's) are expecting to ship theirs on Monday. So, I'd start looking tomorrow and especially Monday - Monday is probably the day of new stock arriving.

3070s and 90s were dropped on 17th and 18th - I'd keep checking but as above sounds like the next big lot is either 22nd or 23rd.

Usually they appear between 2pm and 4pm - though I think one lot was 12:30 or 13:30.
