35" Curved 3440 * 1440 200Hz Curved QDot FLAD 1000 nits

Just saw this and had to log on my god WANT WANT WANT this is what we wanted HDR and 21:9! I need one as well i think my eyes are fading for example right now they feel a bit blurry because the 1080p PPI is frying my eyeballs squiting alongside stutter from non G-sync gaming. Last night i did 5 hours of RS Vietnam and after it i could barely see right and man they felt fatigued from the constant 120>115>100>120 flucuations. But i also feel a part of this eye strain is the contrained feeling of 16:9 it feels like looking into a box unlike the natural view of Ultrawide 21:9. These three things are my trifecta that are stopping me enjoying gaming in most games.

I note also this has 200hz to perfectly sync with my 2000hz USB polling Gladius which is the next evolution in mouse smoothness either having the mouse tied to the refresh rate like G-Sync does or higher poling mice to brute force the mouse microstutter. But if you can match them up so 1000hz into 100hz is 10x perfectly compared to 120hz or 144hz always falling out of sync a little you can probably stop the annoying microstutters shown on blurbusters for mice. So i guess what i am saying is this is the best monitor now we can hope for the only things this baby seems to lack is the PPI of 4K and OLED. Will it have the 512 local dimming zones too with Chroma 4:2:2?
I wish I could get as excited as you.

All I see is an overstretched, faultily bent 1440p monitor with an unnecessary super-high refresh rate that will give me less vertical working space than my 10 year old 1600p monitor...

Same question to Wulf. Don't think I will wait for these new ones as the price will be crazy and would rather wait until the new tech is tried and tested. I am stuck between the AOC 35" which Wulf brought, the X34A or the ASUS. What are the colours like as I am on an IPS and the AOC is a VA

The Agon is VERY well priced, and at least gives us a semi-sane option :)

I'm just a little concerned about the flickering...

Oh yes, I'll be selling my X34A (and a kidney) when this goes up for pre-order :D

Good-O, new ones are still too expensive and used ones are rarer than hen's teeth. :)

VA? Seen 'em before. Think I'll stick with IPS unless it proves exceptional.

How do you find it Best Wulf? Any flickering or obvious colour problems? It's a damn good option at £720!!

The only flickering I've noticed is during loading screens in games other than that great stable picture.

There is colour shift if you move around but unless your hyperactive it's not really an issue.

The curve is nice and comfortable to view and you don't really notice it when in use. And it's 100hz native so no overclocking required (although it won't budge over 100hz in case you were wondering).

For what I bought it for (gaming) it's great and puts me in a good place waiting for the new Asus 35" (I can wait patiently lol).

Best

Wulf

If you have either the Acer x34a or Asus PG348Q then buying this would be pointless imho. I have the Acer x34a and it's a killer monitor, but for me personally I will not upgrade until I see a 4k 144hz ultra-wide panel. Until then I'm staying right where I am.

Same here

If this new 35" monitor costs more then around £500 I be sticking with my Asus PG348Q monitor..

As am not going be spending out another £1000 on a monitor unless there something really special about it like it being an OLED

It has already been confirmed that the 27" 4k 144HZ IPS HDR 384 FALD 16.9 screen will be $2000 so there is not a chance that an even bigger display with a higher refresh rate + more dimming zones as well as having quantum dot on top will be any cheaper than $2000.... Not to mention that 21.9 also comes with a premium....

No idea how some people across the internet are thinking that it will come in at <$1500....

EDIT:

Also, it is very likely that the monitor won't actually come until next year.
Something you'll start to learn is that there isn't much logic used when it comes to setting a price for a computer monitor.

Take care not to be drinking a cup of tea when you see the price of this... said tea will end up sprayed all over your keyboard and monitor. ;)

Hopefully will be getting the Asus as long as the reviews are good and the price is reasonably similar to the price i paid for my pg348q and not like 2k or something or I can wait.

The dream monitor I've been wanting for quite a while now. I know a single Ti isn't enough to run the 200hz. But for me 120hz+ with some tuned settings will be bliss. Then when Volta arrives its only going to get better.
