360 "slim" and natal to be called Kinect?

Its a decent price if you was looking a month or so ago to upgrade to a 250gb HDD as I was. I'm glad I held off now the HDD was going to cost me £70 anyway so I will be getting a new slimmer model for £130.

Personally I think it looks like poo but if your in the market for a 250gb drive or need a replacement its decent value. I don't care about slim either, who cares it's not like you stack them and I doubt the footprint is much smaller.
 
ARGH only bought my Elite last month. Have been trying to justify getting one of these new ones on the basis of WiFi, bigger HDD etc. but think shiny kit syndrome might be enough.
 
think i will trade in my out of warrenty 2x360's for this new redesigned one. Let's hope they have sorted the cooling with the side fan air extraction
 
Does anyone else also think it's interesting how that over the life of the Xbox 360, it's moved away from being what was a white console, with all white & grey accessories to what is now basically all black and for the time being, looks like will be black only.
 
Looks very nice, will definitely be getting one if:

a) They are a LOT quieter
b) They are cooler running

Got an Xbox 360 here, just a basic model, but never use it as it's far to loud. So will wait to hear the general concensus on it's noise and heat before I splash out.

I think it's a part of a broader design swing. Towards the end of the last decade, we saw a lot of silver/grey stuff (e.g. PSOne, Dyson hoovers, Macs) and things have been gradually shifting towards black ever since.

It is just a habit, I don't think Microsoft are some big bad company (in case that is the angle you are trying to hint at). Just a habit. Jeez!

Personally I think it's still too expensive.. Not sure on UK prices, but in the US the PS3 can be had for $299, which is the same price you can pick these up for.. Seeing that the PS3 has an excellent BD player and free online play still makes it the better choice for newcomers. Microsoft should have really tried to come in lower than Sony and make it the more attractive option.. Not the other way round.
