Hmmm...when I go into my resolution settings - it allows me to select 1920*1080? Surely if my monitor didn't support it, then it wouldn't list it?

(monitor is an Eizo S2110B/1680*1050)

Woot, just played some wmv files on the 360, great quality and no lag, time to get a wmv converter.

That's never going to happen, it's part of the DVD rules (forgotton the proper name!) I think.

arghh this update has thrown more resolutions into the mix now, but which would be the correct one for a 19" widescreen, normal res is 1440x900

The ideal res for 19" widescreen monitors is 1360x768 as its the closest you'll get to the native resolution (atm anyway).

Thats only with HD DVDS, they have to use HDMI for the copy protection, Updscaling standard DVDs dont apply though, there are DVD players out there that upscale and dont have HDMI such as the buffalo LinkTheater, that only has componant.

oh well, guess ill just have to buy the HD drive

I like the update, but I think there should be more resolution options. That has made me very disappointed tbh. Still, the rest of the options are nice, especially with the arcade.

Yes, unfortunately. The screen goes wobbly while it tries to adjust but just comes up with an error as someone previously said. :mad:
