We have no idea what the total platform cost is going to be for a Ryzen 2 platform yet - or how it actually performs against the 9900k on both the X570 and X470 or even B450 platform to know what is going to be the best platform at a given price point and what is going to be the absolute fastest gaming machine.

We could almost do with a sticky and just locking any of these threads at the moment which are just silly arguments.

Yea and runs cooler, and overclocks better. Intel campaign was all wrong, 9700k is the best gaming chip. Pure V8, no faults. 9900k is for those who think that running blender benchmark once makes them heavy multitaskers

Gonna cost $1000, have a TDP of 500W and explode if you look at it. What they need is an architectural shift, Core is really scraping the barrel at this point.

At first glance you'd think that the i5 was better than the i9. And it could very well be. I'd assume that if you turn off HT on the i9, it will perform just as good as the other cpus. OTOH, if a game benefits using HT, there is nothing to turn on on the other two. Using still shots give us the ability to catch details we may have missed, especially reviews that do not include a summary.
