3800x to a 3900x waste?

I feel exactly the same. I'll only upgrade if I can pick one up dirt cheap in the next 6-12 months
 
I don't think its worth an upgrade from 3800 to 3900, wait til 4900 or something to get proper benefit of upgrading, the 3800 and 3900 will still be very good for a long time to come
 
I managed to snag a 3900x for £250 I'm not going to get anywhere near that value with a 4000 series chip. I'll still probably be hankering after one though.
