3930k COOLING LOOP

Congratulations on a great build

I hate the stage where you can't do anything else and have to bite the bullet and put some fluid in

If you do retube then how about going from the top of the GPU bridge to the chipset block ?

Could you then go from the back fitting on the top rad to the VRM block, can't really see from the pics, that would tidy it up a little.

TY,
Very pleased the way it turned out.

Gonna leave the re tubing for now as want to enjoy the PC for a while.

The more I look at the connection on the Gpu bridge the more I'm
getting used to it.

Toying with the idea of Tri Fire :D

Thank you, glad you like it.
Its took a while but I think its been worth it :)

Tri Fire looks to be on the cards.

How do I get this moved to Projects
or do I do a new thread in that section?

Have you had chance to oc the CPU yet

I have finally got mine up and running

The good news is the mobo runs a lot cooler than my other X79 system and the CPU is about 7 - 8 degrees cooler.

The bad news is the performance on both my X79 systems is almost identical.

I hope you have seen more improvement than me.

Have a look at post 180.

It has made a slight difference, I'm now 5ghz game stable @1.485v

Everything is like yours, roughly 8-10 deg cooler.

My main reason for doing it was,
I've always wanted a fully watercooled rig.

Also those MSI fans where noisy past 60%
now everything is so quiet now :)

I did want to run 4.8ghz @ around 1.4v, having no joy.

Must admit though, been running @ 4.4ghz and the cards at stock
for the last couple of days and everything is running great.

Very tempted for a 3rd card, but going to wait for the info on net gen
cards b4 I do anything else

Just had a look, thats a nice oc

I got my 3970x to boot into windows on 1.25v @4.6ghz, a bit unstable though. After that the amount of vcore needed shoots up. With the memory the way I run it, around 4.9 - 5ghz is the max it will run. If I go easy on the memory I could get over 5ghz but no where near what you managed. The IMC on the 3970x is pretty good it managed nearly 2500mhz 9-11-11-96-1T without any special tweaking.

At some point I will give my 3930k a go. The way things are working at the moment it will probably out do both my other SB-E CPUs.

I learned a lot from doing my w/c build, when I w/c the next one it should go better.

I am glad you got a good result from your setup

mmmm 2400mhz doms, get playing with the base, IMC dependant you should see at least 2500mhz out of them :o

I would think a 3930K @ 5ghz should be enough to avoid a bottleneck with 3 Titans, though I suppose that also depends how well the driver/game scales with 3 cards too.

You get GPU blocks pre-ordered? Gregster was telling me Watercool are set to bring out some Titan Heatkillers too!

Not ordered blocks as yet.

Aqua are releasing theirs can't link rules and all

And yes, Heatkillers are apparently on the horizon. :)

Will be waiting for Heatkillers.

Also will be running on air for a while as my pot is empty :(
