says i need the professional version to alter the res. i only have free basic
Cant you set your desktop to 1280*1024 and then run 3dmark2k6? Since techincally you have already altered the res running at the non-default 1280*768.

Heres my system:

S939 X2 3800+ @ 2.4GHz
EVGA 8800GTS 320MB
2GB Corsair TwinX PC4000
Asus A8N-E

3DMark06 - 7748

How does that sound?

A bit low tbh mate. I think you would need to push that x3800 really hard to improve them scores. Also try overclocking the card...they all seem to be capable of 600core 1800mem. :D

A bit low compared to other AMD x2's or compared to a core2duo system? From the 2nd sentance it looks like you are criticising the fact that he is using an AMD X2. I think you have missed the point.

You cant say a system running at stock "is slow", if that system is running at the same speed as similar systems @ stock.

Maybe u didnt mean it like that, but then u should be more careful what you are saying.

Mate shut PERSONAL INSULTS ARE NOT TOLLERATED ON THESE FORUMS, ACCOUNT SUSPENDED FOR 48 HOURS...and yeah isnt everything compared to core2duo these days ? seeing as there are only 2 brands of dualcore chips.

I wasnt criticising him so stop jumping on the defensive and getting your back up.

Bit of playing around now up from 7149 to 8138 :D

8800 GTS 640mb 600/995 , DS3P , E6300 (stock) , 2gb Gskill PC6400, 1280 x 1024

Mate you need to overclock the cpu for big gains..should be around 10.5k and higher on a 3.2ghz overclock, which should be very capable on a 6300...but depending on motherboard that is. :D

E6300
X1900XT 512Mb
Gigabyte DS4
2Gb OCZ Gold PC2-8000

Blue text is unstable runs, green indicates a difference other than CPU speed

It was 5600 earlier and for some reason its gone down as my fsb went up, I am going to run it again anyway, should it should be more or higher for that spec? I am sure it should or maybe thats just me.

And still plenty of tweaking to be done, not touched the card yet either.

Don't suppose anyone could recommend a resonable overclock for my X1950Pro could they?
Not to sure what to set it at.

My score is going even lower when i have my 1900 OC'd. I've checked temps and its at about 75 loaded, no artifacts when running 3dmark either.
