£3K Multi Use Rig Feedback and thoughts

I'm not an expert on fan controllers but they are a nice addition. I just don't like the look of them. There a little ugly. Haha.

I tend to use splitters but these may be a bad idea as I use a few duffebt fans I found the splitter wasn't working properly.

Just so you know, some case now cone with fan controllers in them (on the back of the motherboard tray) I know the enthoo primo has this but I'm sure others do too.
The Asus fan control software is very good, i just use that.

And I'm geussing I should run the 3 front fans as intake and the 105 and back case fans as exhaust?

That's what I'd do though other people say the AIOs (h105) works better as intake but then you'll need another exhaust, possibly under the GPU's.

I'd stick to your first thought...

Dreamharvest,

Are you sure the curved display will work well in your setup?

The only thing I would be worried about is using a curved and a flat display in a dual monitor config might look/feel odd in use.

I would go for the super wide over 4k but the flat screen would be my choice.

Something to consider, I'll need to double check the price with the additional items that are needed.

OCUK weren't able to cut me a deal unfortunately so I'm splitting my purchase across OCUK and another supplier. I can also get the curved display for the same price as the non curved version from another supplier in Europe. My other screens wont be sitting next to it, they're off to the side so that clients can see stuff while I work off the main display. Anyway, going to be putting in my order in the next couple of days, shame that a few items are out of stock at the moment.

Instability of Hackintoshes is a big no at the moment, especially when I have clients in the studio. I'll be keeping my mac for the time being and have it setup off to the side with it plugged into the big LG. With the LG acting as a KVM switch I'll be able to jump between the PC and Mac at will.

Winchesteron, just for future reference we are not allowed to talk about that on these forums, as its classed as illegal activity (in the loosest terms).. Just so you don't get in trouble.

Fair enough. I totally disagree with you regarding instability, though. It's a shame they're still called hackintoshes. It was like that at the start, but now you just put the standard native OS on, just like Windows. Actually, I'm at the stage where windows is more laborious to get up and running than Mac. For me, I need to install the audio driver and that's it. I run mutibeast once after install and I'm done. On windows, as I game in the system, I find it takes a lot more work to get everything up and running. Lots more drivers and stuff. Anyway, both native.

Not that I'm going to talk about any of that stuff. Didn't know it was a no-no, so I shall refrain from it.

So I finaly recieved most of my order today, minus one of the Zotak GTX 970 Amp Extreme cards, my LG 34UC97 which is on it's way from Germany and my Corsair Gaming k70 RGB. I ended up ordering everything from a couple of different places due to the price savings, though in the end my total build cost £3560 including delivery and VAT. Here is a picture of everything:

I'll hopefully start building it all later today.
