"the man had shouted "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) during the attack."
Why does his all-powerful god need him to stab a defenceless woman? Some incredibly twisted thought processes to lead you to that conclusion.

And would a god that desired or endorsed random acts of violence against the defenceless be one worth following? Why would such a god have his best interests at heart either?

I just don't know how a person can descend to this kind of lunacy, disregarding all common sense, decency and logic. It's literally unfathomable.

Whats lunacy is every time we have one if these attacks by our friendly neighbours the outrage is limited.

When 6 football clubs announce they are joining a super league we end up with a 90 page thread and protests in the streets.

Priorities...

Is there any scripture that condones/encourages killing people in Islam? killing people is one thing killing them while screaming a tribute to your god is quite another. I'd probably question my faith if other followers were killing as a tribute to its god.

Indoctrination by imams who use scripture to exercise anger for years of awful Western foreign policy... Not entirely sure what the French did to deserve this though.

Imams? Its the book itself

(9:5) And when the forbidden months have passed, kill the idolaters wherever you find them and take them prisoners, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, then leave their way free. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

Basically if you don't convert you should be killed, imprisoned etc.

France's crime? Allowing sanctuary to so many terrorists.

RIP poor lady, getting sick of this now, becoming too much of the "normal".

I really wish religion in it's extreme versions would **** off. I wouldn't want to deny law abiding people the comfort religion can offer and the community spirit it can promote (even if it is all made up guff) so there is some good in there, but the beliefs are all based on antiquated principles before we became more intelligent and able to explain why some things happen (I might have the wrong opinion, but I see the basis of religion as a method evolved in ancient times to add justification to matters that could not be explained or understood, and a way of controlling the masses).

How a person in modern times can't see through this really perplexes me, and I can't fathom how a random extreme believer can justify their actions (such as the occurrence we are discussing), really sickens me.

The attacker ... was shot dead by police.

What you advocating? Screaming at his corpse?

Not actually a bad idea, denouncing his unacceptable behaviour is all that's left since he clearly isn't around to be punished after murdering that woman.

I mean differently punished compared to being shot dead on the crime scene.

I'm not saying I support or condone the reasoning but France has a long history of clashing with islam. More recently you have Charlie Hebdo, bans on face coverings/birkinis, going back you have France ruling islamic countries in North Africa and the Middle East (hence they have significant diasporas). They're usually involved in all the foreign policy/military action that the US/UK caries out in islamic regions too.

I suspect the issue here isn't 1 person, that's why we have seen numerous attacks across the UK and Europe lately.

Like the blm protests aren't aimed at 1 person. They are aimed at alleged racism.

I agree it is no excuse at all.

We should ban it here too. We make far to many concessions for a culture which isn't our own, and is violent when people question or criticise it.
