4k2k Display with NVIDIA® G-SYNC - Acer XB280HK

At this point I'd wish they stop throwing huge amounts of gpu at the monitor. I'm more interested how the g-sync performs with a single 980. Is low frame rates more than playable in the 30's ?
 
Unless you're running sli titan blacks, I can't see it being that great. Surely the gpu requirement for it will be insane? I'll be waiting to see some real world reviews
 
After hearing that there's only a single input I'm actually glad now that I switched to the Iiyama as I already have 3 devices connected up to it. Shame as I really wanted to try out this GSync for the first time but I'm very happy with my Iiyama.
 
Website still showing ETA 03/10/2014.

Any idea if these will show up today? Waiting until I get this screen before upgrading my system.

EDIT: Just called the OCUK order hotline, deliveries are between 12-2 so they wont know until then if these are turning up today.

The games he played look very smooth considering it's 60hz. Would like to try one of these to see if I could handle the drop from 144hz.
 
i just phoned being 2:35pm and none in yet, the chap on the phone said earlier between 12-2, though now he's just said that they are receiving deliveries all day so could perhaps be in them. be very frustrating if they weren't to arrive today, been waiting months for this now :/
 
I only ordered mine a day ago but did order expecting it to be in stock today but doesn't look like it.

I feel sorry for everyone who has seen the date shift over and over.

Perhaps an extra pack of haribo for every order might be a nice gesture ;-)

Reasoning, short supply on G-Sync modules, hence why the air freight never happened.

They have now agreed to air freight our entire shipment of these, which is just shy of 500pc of the 4k and 250pc the 1080P so they arrive with us first week of October.

We still have plenty spare as we've pre-sold about 80pc of the 4k and around 30pc of the 1080P. :)

The competitor wasn't air freighting so the week lag is understandable. I think I'll end up buying local with this if it ends up back end of next week.
