I always install CPUID on any rig i am responsible for, because a year down the line i cant remember what motherboard is installed, what version the BIOS is, what the chipset is, what the graphics card is. Really useful utility just for quickly checking such things :)

Defraggler. I can't tell you if it's better than other Defrag utilities but it looks awesome and takes a long time so I assume it's the best.
Foobar and VLC for all my media needs as well without having to mess around with too many programs.

Windows Defrag is fine as it is. Defraggler takes a long time because it wastes time defragging chunks it doesn't need to.

With the new Firefox 4, I find it essential to download the plugin that allows me to set CTRL+E to the top right search box as it used to be. Why firefox changed that I will never know.

Install Omnibar addon and the URI and Search boxes become one. Can just Alt+D then.

I use that it is an epic piece of software miles better than the standard Windows transfer :)

Stoner81.

Robocopy *** and it is built-in on Vista and 7! :D

PrimoPDF hasn't had a mention, sets up a print driver that allows you to print form any program to a pdf file, and it's free.

Can't believe how much I use it, wouldn't be without it.

How does it compare to PDFCreator?

Of all the ones I tested a little while ago, PDFCreator was quicker and more efficient than the rest.

CutePDF Free - Print any file to PDF
Microsoft SyncToy - Great for keeping files in sync when you have multiple copies
MalwareBytes
