5090 Price

Not really bothered by the 5090 price. Only interested in how much performance Nvidia/AMD are going to give us at ~£300,~£500 and ~£700 price range.
$300-350 5060= 4060ti
$500 5060ti = 4070
$700 5070 =4070ti super

$500 AMD 9070 = 7900GRE
$600 AMD 9070XT = 7900XT

Would be my guess.

What.... Forreal???

3000>4000 series was the worst price : performance increase (if you can call it that) than any generation .... ever.

Where'd you get $1599 from? If the 5090 comes out at 1599 I'll eat my hat...... Well, I'll BUY a hat then eat it.

The 4090 is about 80% faster than the 3080ti and 3090 ti. The 3090ti released at 2k roughly the same as AIB 4090.

The 3 series were terribly inefficient. High power draw and higher temps compared to the 4 series. Don’t get me wrong at the time I loved them but looking back I could never go back to those cards.

They could charge 10k and they’d still sellout in an hour. There lies the problem.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The people who have already decided to get the 5090 day one are not really concerned whether it costs 1600 or 2.5k and if they are concerned then they shouldn’t be looking at 5090.

I have my eye on the 5070 ti as I loved the 4070 ti super. Thought the 4080 was as bad as the 2080ti caught in no man’s land between the 4070ti/super and the 4090. 10 fps on avg faster than a 4070 ti super and about 20-30 fps slower than a 4090 on avg.

Was thinking of upgrading but gonna wait to the 9800x3d come in stock ..
i had a 7800x3d that i manage to kill because im a bell end lol but now i have a 13900 TBF at 1440 i feel its just a good, with you not overclocking your 12900 you could drop a 14900 and feel some good gains.

would you buy a 5090 and why?
do you need it or just to say look what i have

I really can't help but feel that anyone who thinks people would buy a 5090 just to "show off" are just projecting some weird insecurity, like on what planet do you think people give a **** about that?

Well actually now I said that, you do get a lot of weirdos on here lashing out because someone else decided to buy a high-end card lol
