5090 Price

Nope. He doesn't post no more unfortunately.
One of the sad things about the forum (sorry slightly off topic) is that we usually don’t have a clue what happens to people. Long standing members just disappear. Would like to think they just get bored or move on but always worrying when someone who posts a lot just kind of disappears.

Anyway. 5090. Omg how much

I don't know why.

Haven’t seen him in years

I just assumed he was still around, I had a long hiatus too, sometimes you just don't have time, and get caught up in other things. New tech launches tend to bring me back to the forum. I always liked Kaap and his insane collection of every high end GPU going.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The people who have already decided to get the 5090 day one are not really concerned whether it costs 1600 or 2.5k and if they are concerned then they shouldn’t be looking at 5090.

I mean it's still real money, it does kind of matter how much it is.

Also, there is a practical limit. If it's literally £10K, I wouldn't be comfortable ordering it for delivery like it's a USB cable. I'd probably want to pick it up in person, make sure it's in the box...

I'd maybe also want a reveal ceremony, like when collecting a new Porsche. Music, champagne, etc

Seriously though, I would probably hesitate if it's more than £2.5K.

Yep agree to this, similar to Duderandom84 just disappeared off the face of the earth - some people say he sadly passed away. Not sure if true, guess we will never find out

What use is money if you can’t spend it? 5090 might be something people want to spend cash lying around on- you only live life once- can’t spend the money when you’re gone.

That is holiday money, or put it in to a nice car or something which will gain in value. When you are old and grey, you aren't going to remember that overpriced GPU you once had.

People will pay and Nvidia will charge what they want, madness.

Yep, like property. I think there is eventually going to be a crash. They will get to a point and the masses (who mostly refuse to spend more than about £500 for a GPU btw) will just say nope, then they won't be able to sell them. It will probably coincide with another games industry crash, as that has been heading that way for years now.

Instead, I bought some Nvidia stocks a while back to feed off the sheep :D

I fully agree, for as long as I can remember the gaming industry and been heading for a crash but companys keep reporting massive profits.

Only way to keep the prices down is to just not buy it, but try and get the world to agree to a GPU strike.

Yea but look at the string of AAA flops this year, making huge losses in the 100s of millions. That can't continue.

Yea I guess, one or two more years of poorly optomised AAA games (Ubisoft) and a crash is gonna happen, People can buy the 5090 for 2k+ and still get sub 100fps lol
