I'm going to remember it as much as that piece of crap Nissan I had. Loud bang, bits of gearbox all over the road, hole big enough to put your fist through. £2.5K for a gearbox or a 5090?

£2.5K is next year's council tax bill, the way it's been going up every year... I'll have a lot to remember when I'm old and gray :D
 
Enjoy your holidays/car I'll enjoy my however many 1000+ hours with my 5090 gaming and upscaling video and photos, thank you.

I'm not a massive drinker or drug user ;) unless you count the internet so I think I'll be ok with my decision.

Optimization isn't the issue. The games have just been bad. Badly written, boring gameplay, awful art design.

I mostly play older games because there isn't much over the past 10 years which has actually been good. Which also means I don't need to buy an expensive GPU luckily.

I've been around since the dawn of time but mostly just been a filthy lurker. I watched the 3000 and 4000 series launch without contributing to the chaos, and decided to jump in and join the fun this time :p

On the eve of a new GPU release it really takes me back. I’ve been excited by all of them going back to my first GPU purchase which was a TNT2 Ultra and must have ‘watched’ every single one of them (I vividly remember many of them, especially the original GeForce 256, Titan…). Something about a new generation of graphics cards that’s always exciting. Even if I can’t really afford a 5090 haha.

Man. Mine has been over a year now. Longest ever. Used to so it every couple of months at one point many years ago.

Going to get my dustbuster machine back from my brother and do it soon!
