That is holiday money, or put it in to a nice car or something which will gain in value. When you are old and grey, you aren't going to remember that overpriced GPU you once had.

Yea I guess, one or two more years of poorly optomised AAA games (Ubisoft) and a crash is gonna happen, People can buy the 5090 for 2k+ and still get sub 100fps lol
Yes please everyone go on holiday around the time of the 5090 launch
I've been around since the dawn of time but mostly just been a filthy lurker. I watched the 3000 and 4000 series launch without contributing to the chaos, and decided to jump in and join the fun this timeWho the **** is this Ascendancy guy? Not seen you around here until recently, even though it says you joined ages ago.
I say this as you have given my quite a few chuckles lately with your posts
On the eve of a new GPU release it really takes me back. I’ve been excited by all of them going back to my first GPU purchase which was a TNT2 Ultra and must have ‘watched’ every single one of them (I vividly remember many of them, especially the original GeForce 256, Titan…). Something about a new generation of graphics cards that’s always exciting. Even if I can’t really afford a 5090 haha.
Just remembered I need to de-dust my case interior soon as it's been some several months, solid reminder.
Yep photos of a 4090 on ebay won't look good if it's full of dust!Just remembered I need to de-dust my case interior soon as it's been some several months, solid reminder.
I have a vacuum cleaner just for PC dusting, you read that right, a mains powered vacuum just for the PC.
