580 GTX Price is up....

thats eye watering, although im sure ati will price their 6970 at the same price, my wallets going to hurt this christmas... :S

I am hoping thats not the case.
I am hoping AMD sticks them where it hurts and launches 6970 at £350.:D:D

I wouldn't mind if it the hight price if 580gtx out-performed 5970. But it wont / doesnt.

This is what AMD thought they could have faced when original Fermi came out. Too bad it was 8 months too late.

Very excited to see these new cards. I'm keen to get back into bed with Nvidia but it depends if they can make a card that doesn't cost the earth to run or sound like a wind turbine.
 
Let's see some stats....currently running a 4870 and was waiting for this. (I would like to start running 120hz)

I am making a trip over to NY at the end of Nov, it could be time to purchase some PC goods IF the results look good. Otherwise for that money, I will be another sticking with ATI.
 
599.00 US dollars = 374.66 British pounds sterling + gotta add 17.5 VAT (~£65) = ~£440 and potential early addopters fee = £4??.99 :(
