*** 5800 Series Update ***

Am I better off cancelling my order?, realistically?. I'm basically sitting on an i7 rig that can't play games :(. Hmm

AMD are pretty stuck for the next few weeks stock wise on anything starting with a 5***. However we are getting very small quantity on allocation from all the AIB's and we are shipping some orders. As for the new launch product and the dates it will be a hard launch on the 18th that is all I am able to say under the terms of the NDA I am afraid.

i said this over a week ago :D

wont say anymore though this time ;)

Can you tell me whether i'm high enough on the list to receive one of them? I'm still undecided as to whether i should cancel my preorder or not. Order number OC910697.

Cheers.

I have a lot of Sapphire 5850 arriving next week. In excess of 60 pcs

Cheers fatboy, I wonder if you could tell me whether I'm on the list for the next batch? (order number 3483399). I did call up just, but tbh it was like taking into dead space :(. Although I suppose there's not a lot the phone people are at liberty to say.

All back orders on Sapphire will be cleared.

Yeah I think a daily update would be good. I'm waiting on the Gigabyte 5870.

Can't believe that the first time I splash out on getting one of the top end fastest GFX cards that it just sits in pre-order for over a month with no end in sight!

Vat wont be going up to 17.5% either more like 18 to 20%

Goes back up to 17.5% on the 1st Jan, then it will rise again so they can get the money back they lost over the past year at 15%, but that won't be till after the next election, as if Labour raise it again before then, they'll lose it (but i think they going to lose it anyway), but whoever gets in, will raise it.

5970's a hard launch then, so been hanging onto the chips all along eh, disgraceful that, saying they couldn't do the 5800's, so had to raise their prices, when all along they were keeping the chips for those :/

EDIT: What about the rumour going around that TSMC are not making chips for ATi anymore, and so the 5800's are canned till next year, can we have some info on that, wether its true or bull, as these guys in here are still waiting for cards that you may not be able to supply now, due to them being (potentially) canned ?
