grim was hoping i could hv my card tommorow i guess not then and what about the xfx card is that in tomorow and if so is there any spares going thanks
 
Powercolor will definately not be in today for 5850 parts. Potentially tomorrow / Wednesday.

Sapphire has cleared customs, Duty has been paid and the delivery has left Manchester and is on its way. Will keep you posted as soon as I here anymore info

Guess those people who switched to Sapphire DID know something we didn't. /sigh

I swapped mine from powercolour to sapphire first thing this morning. After having my last 3 (value or OEM) graphics cards break on me just out of warranty each time and hearing about peoples horror stories with powercolours RMA process I kinda had to switch. Even if I don't get one in this batch I'd rather have some peace of mind if anything decided to wrong.
 
i personally dont know anything about ATI branded cards, always had Nvidia so im taking the plunge to ATI, but ive read and powercolor are not that good, and something about sapphire work very close with ATI, even though all brands share practically the same specifications.

you get 2 years warranty anyway which is decent enough i think
 
Fatboy, just to chime in again. My order is for a Sapphire 5850 already. Again I don't know my order number (tele sale day of launch), but my name is Naim Choudhury and my flat postcode ends with E14 3FD. Order is for one 5850 and 1 Samsung 500GB F3 drive.

If you could tell me my order number as well that would be nice lol. Saves me having to type the above message every time! :p

I was in manchester today for a brief time, i wish i could have nipped over and grabbed a sapphire :p

Thanks for the updates Fatboy, you honestly have no idea how good it is to hear an update once in a while and be told straight up, i.e. the powercolor not arriving today.

Your attitude is hurtful on my wallet though, i keep spending more monies :(

sods law this, i bet i get my 5850 tomorrow, motherboard+ram came today, tower last week but no cpu.

g-skill 1600mhz ripjaw
sapphire 5850
ocz gamexstream 700w
true 120 push/pull
nzxt guardian
32" jvc hd monitor/22" yuraku widescreen monitor

current machine: toshiba equium 80mhz laptop :D :D

PS Fatboy, without going in to each persons order, if i/anyone else swapped to sapphire on friday or saturday (cant remember the day it was for me), am i/we guaranteed to get the 5850 tomorrow?

Fatboy, Just got to say, I think that you are doing a commendable job keeping us all in the loop and servicing our requests. I can imagine that it can get quite hectic in such times and I bet your phone lines have been ringing off the hook. Is there any chance you could check something for me, I made an amendment to this order "3458072" first thing this morning. I added a "titan" mousemat and changed from a powercolour to a sapphire 5850. I have not received any confirmation of this change of order, nor does my OcUK account have any details of the order (I made the order by telephone but did give them my email address and tell them I had an account-friday). Also any chance you could have a peep see if I'm getting one of the first batch sapphires. Thanks in advance sir
 
fatboy anychance of telling me if this order OC890820 will be getting shipped today if the sapphires come and everything goes to plan please?
