Another nvidia fan having to justify his purchase. Im not biased to AMD or nvidia and have been very happy with my ATI card.

But you have to remeber the 5870 is cheaper and older. Why do nvidia users have to keep this argument going is beyond me.

You are aware that this guy was a bigtime ati fan until this purchase?
 
I don't have to justify anything, the numbers speak for themselves, even if they didn't this thread would have still happened, I was a happy ATI camper a week a go, today I am a happy Nvidia camper out to show the relative performance between the two top GPU's when overclocking is brought in to the equation.

Em...you do realised Raven owned a 5870 before he upgrade to now a GTX480? And it certainly is not the first time I heard some people who own/owned both 5850/5870 GTX470/GTX480 saying that the Nvidia do feeling smoother in overall, and the ATI cards don't feel too smooth at times, despite the frame rate are perfectly fine.

hats off to raven for puting in a nice comparison and sharing his thoughts in an unbiased review.
