a 77mm one. Try a Hoya 77mm Pro1 Digital Protector Filter (this is different to a UV filter in that it is clear optical glass) or a B+W 77mm 007M MRC Nano Coated Clear Glass Protection Filter (bit more expensive than the Hoya). Both will weatherseal your 17-40mm.
Could one of you perhaps post a HIGH ISO image please at 6400 and 12800 ISO with the lens cap on? Say a photo at 1/100 sec shot in RAW then saved as a JPEG with no noise reduction applied at any stage. It's important that the lens cap is on as I'm looking for corner pink noise in the images. I swear my body has more noise than other samples I'm seeing online although the only way to test properly is to do it with the lens cap on to ensure the same conditions!
