That's a fair point, but most DIY builders should have the ability to go into the BIOS and change a multiplier for 4.8ghz. It's so simple.

Thing is, most chips will hit 5Ghz (likely with delid), so unless they were sold with a guaranteed voltage of 1.3v or below (stable at 5ghz), these bundles are just not worth it, especially for this markup lol!!!

There worth it to many people, not everyone wants/dares to OC there PC for fear of damaging or sending there system into flames! Ocuk will sell shedloads of these.

Well, if there's a market for it, then more power to OCUK.

I just can't see how someone with the technical ability to install the bundeled components wouldn't be able to make a basic BIOS change.

You'd think so but i dare say theres many out there what can't/won't and thats if they get it set up! Does the supplied TIM go on or under the cpu?? Why are my temps so bad!??

Clock for clock, roughly speaking, the i7 Kabylake is around 23% better on Cinebench than my Ivybridge according to the above.

The i5 is only just under 8% slower.

With these bundles we are replacing the Tim between IHS and Die. The customer will use the Thermal Grizzly between IHS and cpu cooler.

Am I reading this wrong or is that a £500 premium though? I must surely be missing some expensive component in this build.

Why you trying AVX testing at those voltages you will kill your CPU man.

1.6v is only a sub zero cooling amount of Vcore.
