600

Damn dude hope everything starts turning around for you, and that everything is treatable. You must dropping some serious weight :(.

Cheers :)

Not touched the scales in months and don't plan to until I return. Would rather not have to worry about how much weight and strength I've dropped as well as everything else. Not eating much seriously ***** you up physically and mentally!

Cheers for the feels bros.

I'm looking at it in a positive light tbh. No lifting equals no snaps and a refreshed body after almost 9 years of solid lifting with only a few weeks off in between. I'm going to come back stronger than ever, nail 600 then create a new log called 700

Hello Bros, remember me?

Still no closer to knowing WTF is wrong with me but I had an ultrasound last month which came back clear so that's ruled out any problems with my Gallbladder or any other organs.

Last appointment with the Doctor we discussed muscular imbalances, trapped nerves, spinal disorders and poor posture being some of the possible causes so I've got an appointment with an Osteopath in a few weeks.

I'm now on another drug called Nortriptyline. In high doses it's used for depression, in low doses (which is what I'm on) it's used for pain relief and muscle relaxation. On the plus side this has all but stopped/masked the symptoms I was suffering from but one of the side effects is insomnia and that's nailed me pretty hard over the last two weeks :(

Not sure when I'll be back but I've been completely avoiding this forum and most subjects about the gym since October so I apologise for the lack of high 5s for all of your epic gains and PBs.

RTM'd due to lame update from a clearly hacked account. ;)

Sorry to hear this is all apparently no closer to resolution, buddy - hope you get some clarity on something soon! :)

Weights felt just about right but I was out breath before I had even lifted a plate, this may result in random vomiting until my fitness improves.

Lack of DOMS on Friday surprised me so decided to get this session out of the way today. Another easy session but after suffering multiple heart attacks on Thursday I will be adding some cardio once or twice a week to get my fitness up to fat lazy slob levels.

Another easy session and slowly getting back in to the groove of things.

Heart attacks? Srs? Or just the mild, inconvenient type?
The seeing stars, feeling dizzy and gasping for breath type of heart attack. Did 15 minutes of cardio on the running machine with handles midweek so should be back up to marathon levels of fitness now.

Bored now. One more week of light weights then I'm going to start ramping them up fast.

Take it easy mate, slow and steady is by far the best approach. It's good to be chomping at the bit, I've been there several times myself but there's nothing worse than a tweak or a pull to set you back and knock the stuffing out of you.

You seem to be lifting well within yourself as you're a strong mofo as I remember, good luck! :)

Cheers mate.

It was mainly stomach problems which prevented me from lifting (or the lack of food to be exact) rather than a muscular injury so I've got no worries about a relapse. Having said that, I know my limits and I won't continually up the weights each week if I start to struggle. Just want to find some weights for each lift which I can base a new cycle around whatever that may be, probably Stronglifts or something.

Busy tomorrow so decided to get next weeks session out of the way today. Weights were easy again and I'm now ready to start the second phase of my comeback but my stomach acid levels have been elevated all week so puked stomach bile a few times. Burns the hell out of my throat and doesn't look particularly nice but it's something I've learnt to live with over the last few months.

First part of the comeback was meant to last 5 weeks but I've progressed well and had no adverse effects to lifting again so I'm moving on to part 2 one week ahead of schedule. Went for a run on Tuesday so felt pretty tired yesterday but my fitness levels are improving pretty rapidly now. Weights this evening were easy again.

Weighed myself for the first time in months this morning expecting to be around 16st but I'm 17st 10lbs. No idea how I weigh that much, I'm considerably smaller than I was before I was ill and I'm only eating just over 2000 calories.
