Sure thing.

CPU Host Frequency - 500
PCI Express Frequency - 100
CIA2 - Disabled
System Memory Multiplier -2.00 (Memory Frequency 900)
Dimm overvoltage Normal
PCI-E - Normal
G(MCH) - +0.10
FBS - - +0.10
CPU Voltage - Normal

G Skill HZ Black Spreader. June Batch with Micron Chips

Thats about it

Thanks for that. :)

Mine doesn't boot if i set PCI Expres Frequency to 100 have to leave it on Auto?

Isn't your memory frequency 1000?

I've managed to get it booted at 480 had to up CPU voltage to 1.425 but isn't stable...

I'm running the same memory, yes sunama those ones. ;)

I'm using a Freezer 7 Pro, temps are 39 for both CPU and System! These ok? What temps were you getting when on Air?

Hey m8,
Being totally honest it Does Not Really Feel That Much Quicker and its all down to the law of diminishing returns. Unless you play benchmarks all day long you won't see any difference in games. Sure Encoding/Decoding will be faster but how often do you do that. If anyone was to ask me "was it worth upgrading any X2 AMD I would have to say no unless it didn't cost you any money. Most of the time now is waiting on the harddisk thats the thing that needs improving.

That makes sense - the weakest link in the chain, etc

Will Raid 0 speed up my rig much do you think, Ive arranged to buy a PCI card since ds3 only has the 1 pata and I have no sata.

I assume memory has to run 1:1 with FSB for this to work out. I got 2 gig for 58 quid, its not going to do 500mhz though even if put the cas to 10 :p

I had 2x 74Gb Raptors in stripe and I now use a 500GB Western Digital, go figure. I think stripes are ok if your using large DB's but for home use its not worth the hassle for very little gain. I have had to junk many a disk when swapping controllers because the stripe was handled differently.

Memory wise its running 1:1 and I must say this G Skill HZ memory is awesome. Bought some DDR a few months ago and that performed well too.

Well hopefully I can get enough from my main system to afford a conroe setup with little outgoing. So its worthwhile for me!
Something new to overclock too :)

Nice work, is that stable @ 500 fsb? Any idea on the stock vdimm on this board? I know this HZ is rated at up to 2.1v so I'm overvolting by 0.1v just incase the stock vdimm is 2v.

I'm trying to get 3.6 Gigs. Booted into windows once but its unstable that was with the memory on Auto. Memory is at 3 6 6 18 Auto, dropped it to 4 7 7 19 and I'm running .25 on the north and FSB not sure how far I can push these without blowing the board up. Tried upping the volts on the CPU by .5 but it didnt make any difference. Its defo the board thats holding me back because of the brick wall I'm hitting for a small increase from 500 to 515 so I have asked for some help from Gigabyte. See what happens. I have heard rumours of a Biod with some slacker chipset timing to achieve higher FSB.

I have a PW5 DH coming soon might try that but I suspect it wont touch 500.

Any help in breaking 3.6 would be greatly appreciated

Its going to be hit and miss for time. I have a little 10 month old Asgard that needs some attention today

The Asgard,do you have MSN? I have a few questions i'd like to ask you about the mobo you are using.

I do m8 its my hotmail address. I'm about to do a morrison run, lol. Even The Asgard need food.

Are you cooling the northbridge with a watercooler

Not sure if it's possible (without adding more heatsinks for the power circuit?) tho as there seems to be a massive heatpipe cooler going across the mobo.

Maybe I'm worrying too much about the mobo etc but at those speeds, surely the northbridge is going to be taking some of the strain and heat.
Also looking at the heatpipe design it looks like it would be carrying the heat up to the power circuit?

The heat is being spread over a large area and it has heatsinks on it.
So it should be much cooler than it would with a normal sized northbridge cooler
