This will have a 9800x3d which will probably be around £500. So hopefully again only upgrade will be the graphics card.

£950 on a 7800XT and a 9800x3d.

£960 for a 7900XTX and a 7600.

I know you're probably thinking it's not right but the XTX setup will get WAY more FPS, it's bonkers for 33% of your budget to go on a CPU on a gaming pc.

Hmm didn't see WOW, I guess that is cpu intensive, still not sure a 7600 would do badly though, i'd check benchmarks, 1440p usually eliminates some of the cpu strain.

Tbh I think any of the cards mentioned would walk over that game if it's what I remember.

WOW (and any other MMO for that matter) LOVES the X3d chip. Not only in average framerates but also the mins/lows, so gives a better overall experience due to improved perceived smoothness
If specifically for WOW I would agree that the X3D + 7900XT would be a better combo

(FFXIV gamer here :P )

you know that the only major difference between the 7600 and the 7600XT is the VRAM right, the 7600XT isn't worth the money
either drop down the a 7600 or step up to a 7700XT/7800XT

I thought WOW runs on a potato?
Technically yes, functionally depending on what you do no.

Try running around in a 20 + player raid with settings turned up and you'll quickly see performance tank, and it's very CPU dependant. Most MMO's are the same, skewing towards an X3D over a better GPU can be hugely beneficial with some games/genres.

MMO's, X4, RTS, Sims, city builders/management type games etc very often love L3 cache, even at higher resolutions such as 4k.

With the 7600xt 12gb won’t that be better for non mmo games that are coming out, I can only ask my son what games he is likely to play but kids change their minds like the weather. Can’t really afford to spend anymore than what I have as the plan was 2k max and I’ve gone over that. 7600xt should last 2 years tho?
