Sorry meant the 7970.
The main point is its only matching a year plus old gpu at the same price point.
They should have made the 770 at least a good 10% faster than the 7970GE. It would have been really successful then, a clear no brainer.
Whilst benchmark scores are nice and all, game performance is what matters. Scotty's score is great though, will be interesting to see if any other 770's can get near it.
The top 27 scores are all Green![]()
Time to play and see if I can make that 28![]()
Get it done bruvva![]()
Can you get waterblocks for the card yet, it seems unfair that the two guys above you are using water.![]()
I am pretty sure he would do equally well in games. The great thing about both the Valley and Heaven benches is it is all about GPU performance. The CPU (providing you have a reasonable one like a 2500k) does very little to influence the out come, there are no physics or combined tests to skew the results.

Won't be going underwater
May just have to do a 1.4v suicide run![]()
I think you should also allow whyscotty to pick a game benchmark as well.
You have got to play Home and Away.![]()
Benchmarks threads will go Red - Green - Red - Green..... as new generations come and old ones go, before the Titan and 780 it was all Red at the top, its still Red at the top of a given price point, you need a £550 + Green GPU to beat a £300+ Red one that's also 2 years old.
Lets wait for the HD 8970 and see how much Green is still at the top.
