I can't believe people are whinging at the price. Everybody with any common sense knows that prices and exchange rates fluctuate and there is nothing the store can do about that. It's only a extra £50 so even at £550 it's still a massive saving. The 6700k by itself is £330, the motherboard is £210 so you are basically getting the ram, cooler and fans for free. It's a cracking deal and nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. If you feel it's too much then leave it but you won't see a deal like this again any time soon.

Don't expect miracles from Kabylake as it looks like another tiny performance gain so barely any difference to Skylake while it will most likely cost more. Don't expect any price reductions on Skylake when it's released either because it won't happen. It hasn't with any previous releases. The only thing that may force price drops is Zen but we still don't know that much about it or exactly when it will be launched.

i7 6700k can be found for around £290 due to the price drop, which still doesnt change the fact that you save around £150 by buying the bundle.
 
Already been stated that the offer will be available on the 28th at 1000hrs.

Bit of a bummer for me really as I have to go into work on the 28th and was looking at purchasing 2 one for each of my sons.

I missed out on Black Friday, so will definitely try to pick one up this time!
 
I've been quietly waiting since black friday for this deal, and as it's on my 42nd birthday I'm definitely buying it. I still have an i5-750 with an MSI P55-GD65 from a special deal in 2008 roughly.
As close to £500 as you can make it is good enough for me! The postage to France is expensive but I still consider it a good deal!
 
Yes it's a good deal but that isn't the issue that was being raised lol, so either some are just whiteknighting for extra haribo or suffer from dyslexia, not that it matters.

Anyway, if they do it at £550 as opposed to £500 it goes from an excellent deal to good (if you don't need the cooler and care for asus tax, one could even say average) It's a shame if it's done at that higher price point but if the price of whatever has gone up in the last month and they needed to buy new stock in for this promotion then they can't exactly be blamed.

For what it's worth the support you get on bundles is very good, I do feel this whole thing could have been communicated better
 
Misses has been bothering me for a system upgrade for ages, thinking get myself one of these with a cheeky radeon 480 8GB, give her the current rig and that should be us both happy for a couple of years.
