8 PACK MEMORY RANGE GROWING: SAY HELLO TO 8 PACK RIPPED EDITION & 32GB KITS!!!

Actually, scratch that, the guy wasn't the OP but replied when someone had a question.

https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/rxc8hz/4400_15151515258_2t_162v/

Edit: Warzone FPS in Caldera appear to be in the 160-210fps range.

Thanks. The 4400 15-15-15-15-258 @ 1.6V isnt fully stable, its also at 1.62V VDIMM!
He runs 3800C13 as his daily under 1.55V VDIMM, this

Warzone, thats great FPS. Is that 1440p, maxed settings?

These are my settings, only thing different is Nvidia driver 497.29

Yeah, I think it's water cooled ram also for the OP. By the looks of the code, it appears to be GSkill ram.

Edit: did you see the guys comments regarding the dominator ram?

As for my warzone settings, they aren't max settings. I tweaked them following a guide where the guy bench tests each setting.
Did you manually type that document out or can you generate it?

Yeh, its 'G.SKILL 4000C15, so 14-15-15-15 rated at 1.55v'

I did, the 3600C14 sounds very good, running 4000Mhz CL14-13-13-28-238-2T (Gear 1)

Manually typed, I got annoyed writing my settings for everyone... Here you go, use as a template if you want

So what ya reckon? Should I make a purchase?
The other half thinks I should seeing as everything else I have is higher end haha.

I'll pop my settings up once I sit down and populate your template, it might help your friend with the 3900X.
This is the guide I used.
https://youtu.be/eLE2fnL3B-4

Also added Nvidia sharpening.

Thanks, I think i've seen that guide but never bothered changing anything seems as im locked at 97fps all the time.

I reckon you should, something to play with and if it costs you £100 then its a slight upgrade.
It seems like there are a few choices, the 8 pack 3600C16, Corsair Dominator 3600C14, Gskill trident Z neo 3600C14. Seems like all should do 3800C14 (board and CPU dependant of course)

Depends what timings your lpx 3200mhz is.
Run what at 3200 on your x570-p? I thought you said you have 3200mhz RAM, does it not work at all on your x570-p board?

when i run the corsair lpx at stock 3200mhz i get random crashes in games. When put to 3000mhz no crashes. All on stock timings etc. Everything is up to date so not sure why i get crashes.

Memory Size
64GB (2 x 32GB)
Tested Latency
16-20-20-38
Tested Voltage
1.35V

tried the boards xpm profile but crashes. Everything is fine at stock timings or on auto at 3000mhz

If RAM didnt work at XMP, I would return it maybe after running memtest86 overnight.
That being said, if it works in another machine at xmp then its your system - motherboard, bios or cpu probably.

But to answer you question, yes 3600c16 is faster that 3200c16. If you notice the difference is down to what you use your system for and how well it clocks. 3000c16 is quite a bit slower than 3800c14 (if the 3600c16 clocks to that)

Didn't want to create another thread for this so hoping someone else can give me their numbers.

Built a new system today with a 5950x and a NH-D15S on an Asus Dark Hero. Tried to install the cooler as well as I could. Idle is around 40c in BIOS. Before I even install Windows I'm running MemTest for stability checking. Under Test 4 for example I'm hitting 54c. During the last test (the hammer one) it's going to 68c.

Someone on another forum with a 360 radiator and also dark hero said their idle in BIOS is 42 so I think I'm ok just want to be sure.

Can anyone with a 5900x or hopefully a 5950x tell me what temps they get in the hammer test? I know it's a 16 core CPU but I was expecting memtest to not go over like 60c.

Thanks

I may be wrong but maybe best asking that in the CPU forum. This is in the memory section.

It deos seem like a bit of a random thread to be checking CPU temps but I guess it's in reference to 'MemTest' increasig temps.
What MemTest? There is MemTest86, MemTest-Pro (im running 2.5 Dang Wang version) MemTest64 and probably others

If I ask in the CPU section not many will know what memtest is. It's more likely someone in this thread also knows some CPU data if they are RAM overclocking/has the more exotic CPUs.

Yes standard memtest86. All the others don't have bootable usb/paid/require Windows to be installed.

What OS are you using?

Don't think he was using an OS, just a bootable test stick.
Are right.
Well temps seem high to start. I have a Noctua nh-u14s and idle in bios before booting to windows 10 is 22c. Idle in win10 is usually 24 or 25c. This is in an 18c ambient room.
Edit - Hammer test on 5800X not overclocked goes to 66c but I didnt sit watching the temp the entire way through. 66c is nothing for zen 3. Y cruncher takes it to high 80s and wouldnt even be bothered unless it hits 90c +.
Gaming its usually in the 65c region.
