Might not be possible to open the door but the last thing people on a plane want to see is some nut trying to open it whilst screaming 'I'm going to kill you all...'

Would she have been able to open that door? I was under the impression it's impossible to do mid flight due to the external pressure? Let's say she had opened, I guess anyone local not tightly buckled would be sucked off, lots of blowing and many ears popped, but for the most part wouldn't a quick reduction in height and then landing been the outcome?

thanks guys. I did wonder the over day as i was leaning on the day looking out the window while waiting to pee, how very exposed the door handle is and that surely it's not an issue simply because terrorists would use it more often
