Well the guru3d review had me up to the STALKER benchmarks:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/428/10/

"The 3D engine shines in a few key areas, all crucial in shaping the game's atmosphere. It's got a huge draw distance, which leads to the palpable feeling that this is a big world. Lighting and shadowing are it's other big strengths. For this benchmark we have the in-game settings at maximum (AA/AF enabled), Dynamic lighting was disabled as this feature is really for next-gen graphics cards performance wise."

If they haven't used dynamic lighting and using static lighting that's Direct X 8 paths, the game is massively different between the two and is beyond me why they didn't test it fully.

Price is a joke tbh considern the small performance increase (if you would even notice any over a GTX).

It's not like they are expecting to sell a bucketload though, this card is just there to say "We are the best!" and obviously all the hardcore e-penis chasers not content with not having the best will upgrade their GTX for one.

Oh my word, was thinking about buying the Ultra with the step up programme, but id be paying as much differance as I would if i wanted to just buy a GTX. Crazy prices!

Although this may mean GTX prices may drop. W00t!

Tested my GTX last night and it's stable at 661 on the core. I'm guessing the Ultras will be better speedbinned chips, a bit more hardware on the card to make overclocking easier for them. But essentially just a GTX running faster.

If I was going to buy a card now, with the intentions of overclocking the Ultra I would expect to clock higher, but really the differences aren't big ones.

A shame they didn't do a double card, for quad SLi. (Not that I'd be interested). That might have had ATI jumping off cliffs :P
