8g iPhone (£169) vs 8g iTouch (£199)

ZiPhone is easiest. It downgrades the bootloader to 3.9 from the normal 4.6 that it comes with. But you can upgrade it again with Bootneuter.

People say that the older 3.9 bootloader will be harder to put new firmware (new 2.0) on it. But of course we wont know until it comes out.

iLiberty+ does not downgrade the bootloader, but rather makes a fake one. But its a little more complex than ZiPhone.

Really? I always thought they were.. until I saw an iPod Touch.

It somehow looks like it has a bigger surface area. Although, that's probably due to me being tired :o

Very quick photo, iPhone on the left, iTouch on the right, you can tell by one has "Orange" and the other just has wifi.

Yes im a mac man, so what makes pwnage better?

Well it does not downgrade the bootloader therefore you don't have to upgrade it again afterwards.

Plus when i used Ziphone to unlock my m8's iPhone it crashed a few times, but that might of just been me.

As far as i know there is less risk using pwnage.. or am i talking rubbish? I can give you my ipsw file too if you want to make things easier.

I wussed out tonight, but i may go and pick one up 2moro night. The whole unlocking thing is slightly confusing to me. I still dont quite understand what jailbreaking means?

Jailbreaking just allows you to install additional applications on your iPhone :) You don't need to do it but you get allot more out of the iPhone if you do.

I dont like the sound of ziphone downgrading something that then cant be upgraded again. I think i'll go for the pwnagetool. Once ive done it, should it then be easy to install any future firmwares?

Camera seems so-so i guess, found some other samples on the net. Looks like it will do the job, but i don't think i would buy it based on that feature.

I don't get people who buy phones expecting a camera as good as a proper digital camera.

If you want a £200 camera, get a £200 camera, don't buy a £200 phone and expect a £200 camera, that is not going to happen is it?
