Sleepy said:Well one reason is the video evidence Al Q have themselves provided. Like the most recent tape where UBL meets a couple of the hijackers.
As to why AL Q deny then claim responsibility, deception one of the lessons the quran teaches is to deceive the enemy.
Actually it is evidence, well at least in the real world I inhabit where facts are facts until proven otherwise by other more compelling evidence. However I do realise that you don't use that logic in your world view where absence, supposition and accusation provide the structure upon which you create your worldview.Nicola said:thats not evidence, thats a setup to fool people, were you there personaly when it was filmed? how do u no it wasnt staged to fool the masses.it could be real but i very much doubt it
gurusan said:Yeah! And the holocaust was a huge conspiracy as well! Were YOU personally there?
How can you know! How can anybody know! The government! AHHH after us!!

Nicola said:notice the ppl that belive the goverment version always come out with stupid remarks , the point i was trying to make is that its possible the vids are staged, we only have the goverment controled media's word that they are real

Whereas you just seem to deny the truth of everything without backing anything up.
Also, if you want people to take you seriously you should learn how to type a properly spelled sentence.
What's all this "4 years" nonesense?kitten_caboodle said:Strange isn't it - unlike most terrorist attacks claimed by more than one group, we only hear about Al Qaeda when 9/11 is discussed - even though Bin Laden categorically insisted they weren't behind it until something changed his mind about 4 years later... wonder what that could have been![]()
Funny how no-one believes him when he says 'we didn't do it' but when he changes his mind a few years later he's obviously telling the truth.
He also insisted that Bush had misled the American people in the three years since the 19 hijackers accomplished their mission.
bin laden said:I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle. It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children and common people of other faiths, particularly the followers of Islam.
fox news said:WASHINGTON — Usama bin Laden (search ) made his first televised appearance in more than a year Friday in which he admitted for the first time ordering the Sept. 11 attacks and accused President Bush of "misleading" the American people.
....
Admitting for the first time that he ordered the Sept. 11 attacks, bin Laden said he did so because of injustices against the Lebanese and Palestinians by Israel and the United States.
The videotape was supposedly physically located.
The size of a standard VHS videotape is 7.5 inches wide by 4.2 inches deep by 1 inch high - if you look in a video cabinet you'll see they're not very big. The satellite photograph on the right shows Jalalabad - it is very big and it contains a lot of buildings (not all single storey).
Don't you find it somewhat fortuitous that a very small video tape of Osama confessing to the 9/11 attacks was found in this very big city? Were squads of video watchers sent in to view every tape found just in case one showed Osama confessing?

There are plenty of reasons why he would have denied any involvement at first. He may have said so in order to give him more time to get on the road, for example.kitten_caboodle said:October 2001

dated September 2004 (ok so it's 3 years - my bad!)
So because some FOX News reporter made a mistake, bin Laden denied all knowledge of involvement in the 9/11 attacks for three years. Contradiction ahead...fox news said:WASHINGTON — Usama bin Laden (search ) made his first televised appearance in more than a year Friday in which he admitted for the first time ordering the Sept. 11 attacks and accused President Bush of "misleading" the American people.

As far as I'm aware the video was discovered during a routine raid on a house in Jalalabad. Nobody said anything about intelligence services finding the video by satellite. Nobody said anything about the video in question being one of many in the house, either. Chances are the video was amongst some other suspicious material, and I don't find it at all suspicious that the intelligence services wanted to find out what was on the video.kitten_caboodle said:I think the video tape you are referring to is this one that was found just after Bin Laden categorically denied taking part in the attacks.

Sadly it seems that some people are just determined to keep going round in circles arguing with anyone that doesn't agree with them - and about things that neither can prove one way or the other.
