£900,000 to paint a plane?

That's a pretty big no-no, isn't it? What a shocking inspection process.

Must admit I like it though, even if the price tag seemed a bit steep. Probably £5k for the paint, and 895k for the usual convoluted, money-siphoning design process. I wonder if they're minimising the non-English national elements in preparation for the complete break up of the Union? Hedging their bets, perhaps.
 
I thought the majority of the work was internal decor changes, going from large first class type seating to more flying office? It's just the paint job that seems to have got the twits twitting.
 
Yep. It won't stand out at all though. Honest.

If an aircraft with bad intentions gets to within visual range of a High Value Asset force multiplier like a tanker and is so close that it's able to spot the difference between a white or grey aircraft, then it doesn't matter what colour it is, it's already dead :)

That's a very Cold War way of looking at things.

These days, the bigger risk is from a protest group with a few drones or scaling an airport fence with some paint.
