Cheers will tell him to get one either with a warranty or to buy one from Porsche and use a good reputable specialist for servicing, i think that the service costs seem the same as his current car.

C2 and C4 share the same suspension, the S is a power upgrade and a S badge on the back, nothing at all to do with brakes and suspension, these are the same?

all 911s have immense grip, thats what they are famous for . . . .

the uprated suspension is a option, the only brake upgrade Im aware of is to 6 pots with ceramic disks, and theyre actually not worth the cash if your not tracking the car (5 grand option) mine has the 15mm lowered suspension but i dont know how much that cost new . . . .

I know a few people who have GT3s who have actually taken the ceramics off completly and gone back to floating steels (ceramics are std on GT3)

ok not 100%, mabe im wrong.

im sure the c2s is the same suspension as std cos my mates got one, and its about 15mm higher than mine (mine has 15mm lowered suspension)

is this the 996 or 997 they are talking about? (link dont work sorry)

All i know is my dads porsche is very solid. Your teeth chatter when going over cats eyes but the 2S was much softer.
